As I'm sure you're aware, the go-to song to play on someone's 22nd birthday is "22" by Taylor Swift.

And it's a great choice! It's iconic. It's catchy. And because people keep turning 22, it's probably never going to go away.

But we're here to tell you that there's ANOTHER great song for all the 22-year-olds out there, and let me tell you, the science behind this one checks out.

And when we say science, we mean SCIENCE. Behold, the periodic table of elements.

Do you see what we see?

That's right! The atomic number of titanium is 22!

Here's where the music comes in. Who could forget David Guetta and Sia's iconic 2011 techno ballad, "Titanium"?

It's a classic.

As we can conclude from our dutiful research, when Sia sings "I am Titaaaaanniiiiiiuuuuummm," she's basically saying, "I am 22."

Figuratively speaking, she's saying that she's strong enough to stand up to all the haters and bullies. But we're talking science here.

So go forth with your "new" song, 22-year-olds. You now have justifiable grounds to belt "Titanium" in public.
