A reviewer's pan black with caked on grease
The pan restored to spotless, shiny silver

The reviewer above got those amazing results by using one of these in combination with Bar Keepers Friend!

Promising review: "I like to use a lot of cast-iron and stainless-steel pans. But you know what's the worst? Burnt-on oil. I bought these on Amazon because they were both cheap and well reviewed. I expected these to be tough on my hands. They weren't. I expected them to fall apart pretty quickly. They didn't. I expected to have to use a lot of scrubbing force. I don't. What did they do? They removed the burnt-on oil on my stainless steel pans and cast iron pans with a refreshing ease. You apply a little pressure and move it around, and the grease disappears. These are cheap enough not to even give another thought to. Just put them in your cart and get them." —DM

Promising review: "If I could give this 20 stars, I would! After reading all the reviews on this, I was expecting it to work, but I was still amazed by how great it worked! It seriously made me realize that a ring I inherited from a family member 15 years ago was a completely different color than I thought it was. In the 15 years I've had this ring, I've never seen the actual color of the stone! My mind was blown! I'll have one of these on hand for the rest of my life." —Amazon Customer

I tried everything from bleach to all-natural remedies. Nothing worked. Stumbled upon some before and after photos for this product and had to try. Especially for the price! The photos I posted were with minimal scrubbing. The product does all the hard work!!" —Julie Dufour

    4. A rather miraculous vitamin solution to help even the most pitiful plants grow up big and strong and develop such great roots, they should play on The Tonight Show. It can help with transplant shock, too!

three photos of a reviewer's plant at week two, three, and four, with new roots
    amazon.com

Promising reviews:  "I have had a scrawny fiddle-leaf fig for about half a year now. No growth whatsoever. After a recent move, I was pretty sure 'Wallace' was doomed as he kept dropping leaves. Poor Wallace. I've only had this magic potion for 10 days, and I've got two new leaves! It is not only surviving but is thriving like never before. Update two months later: Since this review, he's sprouted three more leaves! Holy cow." —Lisa Albert Wallner

    5. Or a pack of Miracle-Gro indoor plant food spikes, which are — get this — pretty miraculous. As in, they can help you actually keep a plant alive just by sticking a couple in the soil.

    amazon.com

Each spike can be used for 30–60 days, depending on the season. The reviewer pics on the right are all of the same plant — the top one shows how this magical stuff helped the rather sad dude perk up in just 10 days, and the bottom one shows that he's completely come back to life three weeks later!

Promising review: "I always kill my plants but I decided to try again. I just bought five houseplants, and three of them were marked down because they were looking pretty puny. Since I tend to kill them anyway, I figured I would give them a try and save some money. I put one of these spikes in each plant and they all looked so much healthier and happier after just a couple days. I also added one spike to the only houseplant that I've had for years without killing (I was beginning to think it was artificial) the leaves looked healthier almost immediately. I'm very happy with this product and it was a great price." —victoria

    amazon.com

As if that wasn't easy enough, these are also machine washable so you can use them again and again!

Promising review: "I was skeptical of these, but now I'm pretty sure they're what Mulan's outfit was made of when she wiped her makeup off on her sleeve in the movie. Even totally dry, they do a pretty impressive job of taking off all my makeup (including waterproof eyeliner and mascara) in a couple swipes. I like to use a little micellar water to make my skin feel a little cleaner. It's nice not to burn through so many cotton pads." —RachelM

If you have an acrylic sink, this is the product for you. I HIGHLY recommend it!! I'm going to try it on my mother's enamel sink next, and definitely intend to buy Hope's Perfect Sink again. 9. CND SolarOil, a low-key miraculous oil here to banish brittle nails and dry cuticles for good. Nailed it!

    amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising review: "I had a problem with my cuticles getting so dry that they would split sometimes, and no matter how many times I put lotion on my hands they would never get moist enough to lay flat like they’re supposed to. My nails were dry and brittle, so I’d end up with one breaking and then have to cut them all back in order to have them the same length. This oil has ended all of that. Now I have to cut them back because they seem to be growing faster. I haven’t had a nail split since the day I started using this oil. It soaks into your cuticles and nails so well. I was really good at using it every day in the beginning, but in the last week I got busy and and only used it twice so I ended up with a split cuticle. That’ll help you remember, right?!?! I got back on track these last two days and the cuticle is healed already. That’s just how moisturizing this stuff is. I highly recommend it!" —mlasorensen

Get it from Amazon for $8.50.

    10. Wet & Forget shower spray, which'll revolutionize the way you clean your bathroom. True to its name, all you have to do is spray your shower or tub, let it sit overnight, and rinse it the next morning to reveal a cleaning miracle. It works so well, you only need to use it once a week!

reviewer's shower tile with huge white stain
    the tile clean and bright

Promising review: "This stuff is amazing! I had a horrible gray ring in the bottom of my shower that was impossible to remove. I had tried the Dawn dish soap method (with a lot of scrubbing) and had even used toilet bowl cleaner to try to remove the soap scum. My next step was to tear out and replace the shower pan and tile. I figured this was my last chance. I ordered the Wet & Forget spray and really coated the shower walls and floor pan and walked away. I CANNOT begin to tell you how happy I was to rinse down the walls sometime later and watch all that crud roll right down the drain!! This is the best product I have ever used in my life!! Works great and no toxic fumes!!" —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $16.89.

    11. An exfoliating, dermaplaning touch-up razor you can use to remove dead skin and peach fuzz, touch up your eyebrows, and just generally leave your face feeling fresher than it ever has before. A whopping 6,000 reviewers love it, so chances are you will too.

    12. Salicylic acid wart-removing adhesive bandages that are discreet enough to look like they're just covering up a paper cut or scratch, but are actually busy working their magic to remove even the most stubborn bumps.

A set of four reviewer pictures: The wart turned white, the ward even whiter and starting to rise, the ward starting to separate, and the wart peeling off
    amazon.com

Promising review: "This worked for me. Here's what happened. First bandage: Everything turned white. Second bandage: The top layer of the wart started disappearing and I could see the blood vessels that were inside it clearly. Third bandage: It started burning while wearing it. One day was REALLY painful, but now I think I just put the bandage on too tight. There was definitely burning though. Uncomfortable, not unbearable. Fourth bandage: The skin around the wart started to crack. Fifth bandage: The skin continued to crack and I could see the wart separating. Sixth bandage: Skin separating deeper. Wart was really soft but it wouldn't budge. Seventh bandage: The wart stuck to the medicine, so when I pulled off the bandage, the wart went with it. I'm left with some raw skin that's a bit sensitive but it feels fine. It looks like the entire wart came off, roots and all. Side note: It smells horribly. Make sure you put the bandage on tight enough to try to conceal the smell, but not so tight it hurts. Overall, not a horrible process. Make sure you follow the instructions and keep it on for 48 hours at a time. Two of mine were only on for 24 hours and I think that prolonged the process." —Chelsea Gipson

Get a pack of 14 from Amazon for $6.

    13. Black Diamond Ultimate Grout Cleaner to restore your grout to a color that you didn't even know it was supposed to be.

    amazon.com

The reviewer above says they got these amazing results by using the product with a steam cleaner!

Promising review: "I knew my grout was dirty but I didn't realize how disgusting it was until I used this cleaner. It arrived yesterday and I decided to test a small area to see how well it worked. Sprayed on and waited three minutes. I then used a brush to agitate the dirt in the grout, which was much easier than I expected it to be. I thought I was going to have to scrub hard; instead, it was a very simple back and forth motion and the dirt immediately came loose and out of the grout. I then used a very wet dish towel to clean up the cleaner and dirt. The results were significantly better than I anticipated. I'm buying more to finish my entire home." —FatherOf4

Get it from Amazon for $14.98.

    14. Sunny & Honey Carpet Miracle, a cruelty-free formula you can use in most any carpet cleaning machine to battle stains made by humans and pets alike. Promising review: "Worth every penny. I’ve bought this product so many times now I have it on auto ship! Saw the reviews and figured I’d give it a try. My cat likes to pee over the litter box and stained the brand new carpet. I used this in my Bissell and it took all the stain and smell out!!! I’ll never use another cleaner." —Wendy

dining chair cushion with two large stains
    the cushion with stains gone

Promising review: "WOW! A must-have for any home. My carpet had some mystery stains that other stain remover products could not budge. I had resigned myself to never having them any better, until I found this product. It was very easy. Spray it on, then put a paper towel on top and it disappears. Seriously! There were a couple stains that I had to go back for a second time, but after having lived with these carpet blemishes for years...I was more than happy. I even used it on a cushion. You also get a lot of cleaner for your money; I was surprised at how big the bottle was, and you do not need to use lots when you apply, so this will last a very long time." —Malm

    amazon.com

    It's cruelty free!!!

Promising review: "This is the first time I've ever used a setting spray, but it was my daughter's graduation and 99 degrees outside. I sat outside for three hours in the heat! We went out to dinner and to the store before I finally got home to take off my makeup. I was a little shinier than before I left, but very happy with this spray!" —Jess Y.

    17. Durable all-purpose wipes made with aloe vera and vitamin E for everything from your hands to your car to tricky stains like grease, makeup, adhesives, and permanent marker. Paper towels are cancelled.

    A
    An

Note that while these are great for messes and stains, they don't disinfect.

Promising review: "These towels are awesome for so many things. They are large and very sturdy, so they work well for household cleaning. The real benefit for me, though, is having a wipe that works for things like the grill, the oven, the dashboard of my car, muddy shoes, chairs and umbrellas that go to soccer games and practices, and lawn furniture. I frequently wipe something down, rinse the towel, and wipe again. The wipes are heavy enough to go through three to four rinses and wipes and still hold up. The smell is mild and doesn't linger on my hands or what I've wiped down. I use these almost daily, so the 90-count canister lasts about three months and the last towel is never dried out when I get to it. The lid closes securely, yet is easy to open and the towels dispense easily through the opening without getting bunched up. Because the canister is heavier than most, and the lid fits well, it's easy to throw one of these in the trunk or cargo area, and I don't worry about it leaking. The canister (minus the lid) is recyclable when the towels are gone — an added bonus." —COMom

Get a pack of 90 from Amazon for $13.94 (or $13.24 with the Subscribe & Save option).

    18. A hairbrush cleaning tool for anyone who, like me, becomes disgusted by hair the second it is no longer attached to a head and always procrastinates cleaning buildup from their brushes so they don't have to — *gasp* — touch it. This thing is willing to deal with that grossness for you.

    amazon.com

The reviewer above got such amazing results by using this tool along with soaking their brush in a Dawn and diluted vinegar solution!

Promising review: "When I bought this I was really skeptical. I am grossed out by my hairbrush and clean it all the time. I've soaked it in vinegar and tea tree oil, used a toothbrush, scrubbed it with shampoo, picked it clean by hand — everything you can think of. Still, it's so hard to get the little lint that forms at the base of the brush — they don't dissolve off and you have to pick them off the bristles one by one because a toothbrush won't even break them up. This thing works amazingly. I don't know why, it just does — the particular texture of the bristles on this really grabs everything. It scraped the little lint rings right off and now my brush is cleaner, 10 times as fast." —HeartsofHavoc

Get it from Amazon for $9.95.

    19. A stainless-steel tongue scraper to banish bad breath and gross buildup so effectively, it'll leave you (clean) tongue-tied.

On the left, a reviewer's tongue with grayish-white residue coating the back. On the right, the same reviewer's tongue looking pink and clean
    amazon.com

The reviewer in the photos above got these results after using the tool every day for two months!

Promising review: "I was a bit skeptical about this and had it in my wish list for quite a few months before buying. My tongue would be pretty dirty and white and could never really be fully cleaned with a toothbrush or anything else I tried. After purchasing and using it, I only wish I'd gotten it sooner and it's one of my best purchases. It is just a single piece of metal, but it has a an edge that's just sharp enough to scrape all the nasty stuff off without hurting. It takes a few days to get used to, but I don't have much problem using it to clean deep in the back of my tongue. It's easy to clean and all the dirt rinses right off. I would highly recommend this, there's really nothing else that has done a good as a job cleaning my tongue." —Alan

Promising review: "I bought this on a whim in a last attempt to save my favorite duvet cover. The pills had gotten to the point where it was seriously uncomfortable to sleep with them. I thought I was going to have to get a new duvet cover entirely. Along came this lil baby. Not only is my duvet cover basically brand new, but I have found a new hobby. I’m de-pilling everything. Sweatshirts, leggings, blankets, socks, anything that looks like it needs some love. It does the job quickly and leaves everything looking fresh. I’m obsessed. I’ve started asking if my neighbors need anything de-pilled. Everyone needs to own this." —Dena Jensen

    21. Or a special pill-removing, pumice-esque stone made just for restoring your favorite clothes to their former glory. Like, they could almost pass for new (if you didn't already have 87 pictures of yourself wearing them on your Instagram that prove otherwise).

    BuzzFeed / Maitland Quitmeyer

You can get it from a Black woman–owned, Brooklyn-based small business, and BuzzFeed Shopping editor Maitland Quitmeyer swears by hers! She writes: "Like many of you, I've been living in sweats and PJs during this almost-year of WFH full time. And it's made me revisit the state of some of my loungewear. Take for example, this college sweatshirt I wear all the time — as evidenced by the rather EXTENSIVE pilling all over it. So when I saw this pumice-esque sweater stone (it's made from upcycled car windshield glass — how cool is that?!), I decided it was worth the try. We've featured electric pill removers (mostly the fan-favorite Conair one) many times, and they really work. But sometimes you're looking for a little more detail or control — that's where this stone comes in handy. I was able to navigate around the contours of the logo on my sweatshirt with ease, removing pills using the corner or the entire flat bottom in a few quick strokes. It truly took no time at all — the sweatshirt was done in mere minutes. The only thing I would note is that particles do 'fall out' of the stone, so do your pill-removing on a surface that's easy to sweep or vacuum up at the end."

Get it from Celsious for $17.

    22. Impressive silver polishing wipes to get your most prized jewelry, silverware, and decor shining like new again. You might need to wear sunglasses to handle all that sparkle.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising review: "My engagement ring is silver, and it tarnishes easily. Since I wear it every day, it would get dull and gray very quickly. I was using silver cleaner, but it didn't work very well, and didn't make my ring shiny. These wipes blew that stuff away! Just a few seconds was all it took to make my ring look brand new. I am so happy with these wipes. So easy, and the results are amazing! I even tried one on my white gold wedding band, and it worked on that too." —Bethany Nadeau

Get them from Amazon for $8.91 (or $8.75 with the Subscribe & Save option).

    23. Washable microfiber mop pads that'll fit on your trusty Swiffer WetJet or similar mops so you can kick wasteful and pricey disposable pads to the curb. You'll be shocked — and perhaps horrified — by how much more ick they can pick up than the mop heads you have been using.

    amazon.com

One pad can last up to 100 washes and works on pretty much any surface, from wood to tile to stone.

Promising review: "I did not realize how dirty my floors were until I tried this product. It does a much deeper clean than the paper pads. You can see the difference between a new one and cloth pad used in just one room in the photo. The pads clean easily from just throwing it in the wash without prewashing it. Great product!" —Clarita

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I was a bit disgusted at the state of my tea cup once the flash went off on my camera, yikes! I use this cup for my daily tea at work and it's no secret that tea stains. I've purchased new mugs once they become stained, but they aren't cheap, so when I saw a BuzzFeed article about these capsules I was curious if they could actually clean this mess. The before and after pictures prove it right there! I've never reviewed a purchase before but I had to with this one. I let the tablet sit in hot water for eight hours and EVERYTHING poured out. large oil stain in a reviewer's stone driveway, with one part labeled
the stain covered in the cleaner
    the clean driveway

FOR [STAINS] IT'S TOOOOOO LAAAATEEEE, LET THE CREDITS START TO RO-OOLLLL!!!!

Promising review: "This product worked like a miracle. Very easy to use. The oil stain in my driveway was over 18 months old. I read the reviews, so I cleaned my driveway with car wash solution first to open up the pores in the concrete, let it dry completely, shook the bottle really well, poured it on the concrete, took a push broom, and pushed the liquid in the direction of the lines in the concrete to make sure it absorbed, and in the Vegas heat it dried completely from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Be patient and make sure it dries completely. I used the push broom and brushed away the powder residue and the biggest oil spot and others were gone. I ordered two more bottles to do the rest of my driveway. I think the key is to cleanse it first to loosen the oil, then use it. In three hours the 18-month-old oil spots were gone. I highly recommend this product." —Loves

Promising review: "I read about this in a BuzzFeed article, read the reviews, and looked at the images posted by reviewers. I figured for under $10, why not. Our house is about 20 years old and things are starting to just look worn. Add kids and a dog to the house and you have plenty of scratched up or water-stained wood. This is magic in a bottle! The first picture is a door the dog scratched up. While the scratches are still there, you can no longer see them. The other picture is of a window that was left cracked open when we were gone and it rained. The wood was trashed, but now it looks brand new. Promising review: "AMAZING! My husband and I saw this on Shark Tank and he immediately had me order some for him and his family for Christmas! He works on the farm and has used every industrial-type soap available. This works better than ANYTHING on the market! And it’s natural! I even use it on my little artist (7-year-old) who constantly has paint/marker/glitter glue/etc. on her hands. It truly is amazing!" —M. Caudill

    33. A Revlon oil-absorbing facial roller to get your lovely face looking marvelously matte in no time. Why have you been burning through all those blotting papers when this wonderful reusable option exists???

You can remove the stone part, rinse and wash it with cleanser, and put it back in to be used again!

Promising review: "I bought two of these. One for myself and one for my daughter. She used hers first and fell in love and said, 'Mom, you have to try yours right now! This is AHmazing! I love it!' She was right. It’s awesome and now resides in my purse so I’ll have on me all the time. My skin gets oily midafternoon and there’s still so much of the day left that I don’t like walking around with an oily sheen on my face. I pat with tissues but that’s wasteful. A simple roll over the face with this gets rid of the oil and actually makes my skin feel nice. I might have to buy more and leave them in different places so I never have to go without." —Tired Mom of 3

Nothing else would get it done and this stuff brought my shower back to near-new in one use. Promising review: "So Pinteresting! I used this adhesive film to turn two cheap Ikea tables into less cheap-looking Ikea tables because I'm not made of money but I would like others to believe I am. Super simple to use and a ton of it for the price; I was really pleased overall. The pattern actually looks like marble, not a weird pixely repetitive pattern, so that's great as well." —Spencer House

Promising review: "Overall, I am VERY IMPRESSED. For me, these hold up better than a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. They got stains out of my kitchen countertops, out of my bathroom sink, and even cleaned the shower so well it looked like I had bleached the whole thing! Very happy and will continue to buy in the future. I've even given some to my family to convince them how great they are." —SierraH
