    1. Elizavecca Milky Piggy carbonated bubble clay mask, a top-rated, blackhead-banishing, and just plain F-U-N mask that starts to bubble once you apply it. Even without the skin benefits, it'd be worth it for the selfies.

A set of nine reviewer selfies in the mask, showing how it goes from flat to super bubbly and fun

It has over 5,000 (!!!!) positive reviews and comes with an application spatula.

Promising review: "Wow! I purchased this on a whim after seeing one of my favorite Youtubers try it out. I didn't expect a lot from it. I tried it out and was shocked!!! The mask was simple (and fun) to use. I wasn't sure I felt a lot happening while it was on, but it was pretty cool how the bubbles started to grow off of my face. Upon inspection after using this mask I was completely amazed. My face felt cleaner than it has in a very long time AND my pores looked amazing! I don't remember a time when I felt like my pores looked great before using this mask. I would highly recommend this mask to anyone. It's also so much cheaper than the GlamGlow ones I have been using (and didn't see near these results from)." —K. Textor

    2. A heated shiatsu massager pillow, which may be the only thing that could possibly make your time spent chilling on the couch better (and that's still less splurge-worthy than a trip to the spa).

It's got straps on the back so you can conveniently fasten it to a chair; plus, the heat function is optional and it automatically turns off after 20 minutes for safety.

Promising review: "I bought one of these massagers for my mom as a Mother’s Day gift, because she works standing up the whole day and suffers from leg pain when she gets home. This massager has completely changed her life. Once she gets home, she plugs it in and puts the massager underneath her legs, and she says it soothes them until she feels no pain. When the timer goes off (after twenty minutes), she can walk like a new person again. She loves this massager, and she even said it’s one of the best presents I’ve EVER given to her. I couldn’t be happier! I even went and bought one for myself, and I use it in my car on my way home from work. It's so convenient that it comes with a cigarette lighter connector to plug it in in my car. Once I get home, I take it out and my wife uses it on our bed." —Jose C.

    4. NYX Butter Gloss, a buildable, pretty, and perfect for everyday lipgloss beloved by over 4,000 reviewers that actually won't leave your lips all sticky like the other glosses you've tried over the years.,

Promising review: "Skip the expensive mall store — buy this. This is one of those drugstore products that lives up to its reputation. 'Angel Food Cake' is a nice, rose mauve color with no yellow undertones. The color stays true and won’t turn orange while you’re wearing it. It’s not sticky like so many inexpensive lip glosses. It will also keep your lips reasonably hydrated. The color won’t be dramatic enough for some, but as an..ahem...mature woman I need to keep it subtle. This gloss is all you need for everyday wear." —Toomanycats

When my frother stopped working, I found this and decided to give it a try. I actually came to prefer this, because it's much easier to clean and doesn't require an electrical receptacle (something there are never enough of in the kitchen). It's also not a big bulky appliance that takes up a ton of room in the cabinet or countertop. The simplicity of it has actually made cappuccinos so easy that they are now something I look forward to in my daily morning routine. I just microwave a little milk in a mug, then take the this frother to it and I get a bunch of frothy goodness. I'm not a coffee snob, but for me it's the same as a cappuccino in a coffee shop." —Amazon Customer

    12. Pus-absorbing, pimple-eliminating patches that I personally use and will confess, I get genuinely excited to take them off after hours of wear to see how much gunk they've pulled out of my clogged pores. Yes, it's gross, but no, I will not apologize!,

These have over 3,000 positive reviews and are my personal go-to brand of pimple patch (I have one on right now). I find that they work best once a zit is already open and especially if used overnight. Check out my full write-up on Nexcare pimple patches.

Promising review: "Okay, what is this sorcery?? I can't believe I never knew these existed. I seriously felt like a teenager again last weekend. Literally days after talking about how great my skin has been, this giant, painful, bulging zit was starting to form right in the middle of my chin. A week before my cousin's wedding, naturally. It was like it wouldn't stop growing, and spot treatment solution was doing absolutely nothing. It hurt so bad, and I couldn't help trying to pop it, but it refused. Then I heard about these. I placed one on my chin the second they arrived in the mail. After a few hours, I saw the white forming and I was curious and peeled it off. Then I put a fresh one on before bed, and come the next morning...HOLY COW, the entire dot of the patch was now a giant white blob. This zit was no joke. It's amazing how much fluid/pus had to get sucked out. Like I said, this is some magic. The zit completely went away within a day." —Heather R. Weather

Get a box of 36 from Amazon for $4.40 (or $4.18 with the Subscribe & Save option).

    13. A simple yet revolutionary habit calendar designed to help you finally do all the stuff you keep saying you're gonna do — and track your progress in a very satisfying way. It's got 12 months' worth of planning pages with space to organize daily, weekly, and monthly habits and goals to help you be your most badass self, so every day will feel like a little victory.

This bestselling wonder is by Free Period Press, a queer- and woman-owned business that makes adorable stickers and paper goods! It's also made from recycled paper to help you achieve your resolution of living a lil' more sustainably. There's even an activity at the beginning to help you brainstorm habits to track, and each month starts with a themed page (for example, "sleep," "gratitude," and "finances") with some words of wisdom and a suggested habit to try.

Promising review: "As a visual learner, I have to see progress to be able to maintain it. This helpful calendar does just that. I choose which habits I want to improve upon (or those I want to lessen). I look forward to checking it off and seeing that progress. It's helped me become a cook and a meal planner, walk my dog more often, do all the dishes before going to bed, sweep each day, and reach out to family more. I love it. It's helped me live a happier life and actually helped me maintain hobbies/habits I've always had trouble keeping up with. Worth the money, worth the time." —Caroline C

Plus, the pretty packaging and scent will actually have you looking forward to swiping it on in the morning (take it from me).

The pink cylindrical tube with the caption "Natural deo that actually works!" with a heart eyes emoji
    Katy Herman/BuzzFeed

Two things I used to believe: 1) That putting on deodorant would never be something I looked forward to and 2) natural deodorants just didn't work as well and I was stuck with my regular drugstore brand (rhymes with Schmecret) instead of the effective aluminum- and cruelty-free formula that was my white whale. But now, slap me in Cabin 6 and call me Annabeth Chase, because I'm a dutiful daughter of Athena (Club). The first thing I noticed when I got my sample of this magic stuff in the mail was the sleek and pretty packaging that feels all Insta-worthy on my countertop. Then, the smell — I really don't like perfume-y, overpowering scents, but this was so mild and beautiful and natural-smelling (I picked scent No. 2, a rose, sage, vanilla, lime and cedarwood blend). But most importantly, it heckin' WORKED. I will confess that I have skipped some shower days in quarantine with my family. I'm not going anywhere and my parents love me unconditionally, okay??? But I also feel totally fresh with this stuff on. My pits stay noticeably dry and smelling A-OK pretty much all day, even if they were pretty stinky to begin with (is this TMI??). And it achieves all that with really just a swipe — no need to apply a ton. And it actually makes me smile a little when I put this goodness on every day!

Get it from Athena Club for $12 (or $11 with a subscription; available in two scents).

Our kids are 10.5 and 12, and they really enjoyed the animal shapes and particularly the 'dipping' size of the waffles. And so did my husband and I. The waffle maker is super easy to use, all the faces were clearly imprinted, and I didn't have any issue with cooking time or uneven browning. LOTS of FUN! At $30, why not? Wish we'd had this years ago!" —jchungmd

    16. A massaging, exfoliating, and blood flow-increasing scalp brush over 5,000 (!!!) reviewers swear by to give you that feeling of someone deep shampooing your hair at a salon that you miss so much, not to mention help with dandruff and buildup, and even help encourage hair growth!

A reviewer using the teal silicone brush on their wet, shampooed hair

Promising review: "Okay, so this is a bit of TMI — I have extremely curly hair and eczema. I would scratch my scalp and buildup of oil and dead skin would be under my fingernails, and no matter how hard I scrubbed in the shower nothing took it away. It felt like a layer of wax was on my head 24/7. On top of this, after scrubbing my head raw in the shower, my scalp would be so unbearably itchy afterwards! I tried everything. Co-washing, no shampooing, anti-dandruff shampoo, oils, not washing my hair every week, etc. Nothing helped. It was to the point the itching and scratching left me bleeding and in tears. I bought this on a whim after reading other reviews — and I will NEVER go back. I look FORWARD to washing my hair now! The first time I used it, I experimentally scratched my head and there was NOTHING under my nails. My scalp didn’t itch AT ALL, even after running product through it and letting my hair dry. I have never looked forward to washing my hair, and now I LOVE IT. I’m considering buying another one for travel, and some for my friends — I literally cannot fathom how such a simple-looking product has changed my life. How do the silicone bristles clean more than my own fingers? I’ll never know. But I love it." —Katie Hallum

Promising review: "Excellent little attachment!!!! Love this. For batter and cakes, I used this and my whisk was the easiest cleanup in years. Hey, the hubby is not always around to run off with that whisk after I scrape the bowl of every last schmear. I needed something to help with cleanup and this item does it. Easy to clean, easy to store. Wow!!! I am going to buy a few for my friends — they have kids and grandkids who will love cooking with this! If you don't have one yet, BUY ONE!! Promising review: "It really helped when we were out of a grocery item to just circle it on the list for the family, so when I ordered groceries I knew what we needed. It didn't stop the family from putting empty cartons in the refrigerator, but at least they let me know that we were out. LOL." —Live Laugh Love

Gunk sticks to the putty and won't come back out, so you can just squish it into a new shape and use it over and over again. Note that this doesn't kill germs, so you should still be using a disinfectant wipe for that!

Promising review: "I was surprised at how strong this was and how well it worked, PLUS it was super fun to use as a fidget toy, too. My students wanted to steal it every day, and I love that I got several packs so when it gets too gross to use (the indicator on the back actually shows a color to help) I can just grab a new one. Easy and fun product!" —Kathleen L.M.M.
