Response to 25 Gifts For The Most Sarcastic Person You Know:
If the last one didn’t cost 131 dollars, I’d get it as a Christmas gift for my dad. But thats a heck ton of money! :O
These coffee makers, where you insert a new cartridge for every coffee you make is about the worst thing you could do for the environment.
Someone calculated that the amount of landfill created by Keurig (only Keurig, Tassimo and Nespresso were not counted in) yearly could circle the globe 11 times. They are not biodegradable like normal coffee grounds are. If you are looking for a single cup hassle free coffee machine with a better environmental impact, check out the Hamilton Beach or Senseo pod machines. While still having more waste than regular coffee from a coffeemaker, their packaging is made from filter paper, and thereby biodegradable. :)
Probably like 5 minutes :O
The best thing against this, I find, is Bepanthen (or any other generic alternative containing a high amount of D-Panthenol). I think it’s sold in the US as nappy rash cream. Where I come from it’s sold as wound treatment. It really works wonders.
