Learn the words “the” and “our”. The days of your belongings belonging to you are long gone. It is no longer your bed, or your vacuum, or your prized, hella expensive espresso machine; these are now all communal pieces of property. So instead of screaming “CAN YOU PLEASE STOP LEAVING MY ESPRESSO CUPS THAT YOU USED ALL AROUND MY BEDROOM?”, sub out the word “my” with either “the” or “our”. You would be surprised how much of an impact one additional letter can have on your life and the length of your arguments.
