    1. First Aid Beauty's Fab Pharma Relief and Rescue mask, a mega-moisturizing and healing treatment for your driest winter skin. Bye flaking! Bye redness!

    BuzzFeed / AnaMaria Glavan

"My complexion issues are currently a) dryness and b) redness. I’ve tried to address both issues with a slew of moisturizers, serums, and magical potions — some of which have been fine, but none memorable enough in which I would consider re-purchasing (the ultimate test of how good a product is, IMO). That is until I decided to finally try the First Aid Fab Beauty Pharma Arnica Relief & Rescue Mask. After twisting off the cap and squeezing some product into my hand, I was instantly put off; I’m very picky about scents and this one was almost medicinal. Thankfully, it disappeared within seconds so I slathered it onto my complexion anyway. I applied like I would a moisturizer (it goes on blue but becomes sheer once spread) and hopped into bed. In the AM? My skin was nourished, folks. And my usual redness had gone down.

I immediately thought it was placebo (I can’t help that I’m a skeptic) so I decided to continue using it near nightly over my moisturizer and...ugh, I just love it so much. My complexion feels dewy without feeling greasy, cystic chin zits are gone, I no longer have that 'I’m parched' tightness when I wake up, and my naturally rosy cheeks are now mildly flushed and not tomato red by the time I hit snooze. If you’re struggling with redness, winter dryness, or tend to travel a lot, take my advice and invest in this leave-on mask. It works." —AnaMaria Glavan

    2. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in "Diamond Milk" feels like a hydrating lip balm but gives you the intense, juicy shine of a lip gloss without feeling heavy, gloopy, or straight up tacky — it looks just as fab when you wear it alone, or you can use it as a lipstick topper for a little extra oomph.

    Rachel Dunkel

"Fenty Beauty's Gloss Bomb is absolutely my go-to lipgloss. Its formula doesn't feel heavy and gloopy like most high-shine glosses, and it doesn't leave my lips feeling tacky at all. My coffee mugs don't even get that gross, dried-on-gloss mark.

Because it has added shea butter, it feels almost like a balm but still delivers the intense shine I'm going for. I have the colour 'Diamond Milk' (which is described as a shimmering pearl) and wear it by itself for a more "natural" look (by gloss standards) *or* over any coloured balm or lipstick to make EVERY lip colour I have into a gloss. It's like having every gloss colour in one tube! Just be sure to wipe off the applicator after layering so you'll always have a clean slate to start from again." —Rachel Dunkel

Price: $25 (available in six shades)

    3. Kiehl's Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner is a super mild, non-drying option that even the most sensitive skin will love — whether you pat it on or use a bottle to give yourself a spritz, it's super refreshing.

    Bek O'Connell

"I have pretty finicky skin so I've been on the hunt for a toner for a while. Originally I was using Mario Badescu's Rose Facial Spray, but eventually my skin decided it didn't like it, leaving me with big blotchy redness. After some trial and error, I found a toner so mild, even my dry and very sensitive skin likes it. Kiehl's calls their Cucumber Herbal Toner the 'mildest of all our toners,' and I can definitely believe that.

This calming and gentle solution leaves my face feeling refreshed and soothed. This toner is non-drying, alcohol-free, and has just a hint of a cucumber smell. I like to put this in a glass spray bottle and give my face a spritz after washing my face in the morning and at night. If you have dry, sensitive skin and need a good toner, this is a great option!" —Bek O'Connell

    Price: $25

    4. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer lets even the most devoted foundation lover go free once in a while and instantly smooths over red bumps with just a few pats of the finger.

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed

"I'm not really sure why I didn't use concealer before. No wonder I'd layer on the foundation and sometimes still be unhappy about bumps and spots still showing through. However, not all concealers are created equal and fix this problem, especially when my adult acne flares up. So I turned to the cult fave, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, and errbody, it's SUCH a game changer!!

Like, just look at these before and after photos! I willingly posted a makeup-free selfie on the internet to demonstrate. *cringes* The only other makeup I'm wearing are brow powder and lip stain — absolutely nothing else on my face. No filters either, obviously. This magical, thick concoction leaves a beautiful natural finish that hits the lights really nicely and lays out a smooth base for any (optional) foundation or BB cream you might want to dab on top. Yeah, I said optional. Before this concealer, there was no way in hell you'd catch me without foundation on (with very few exceptions — I'm all about loving the skin you're in, but foundation lends me peace of mind and confidence). Anyways, somehow, some way, NARS came out with a product that helps me prep my face and be out the door with just one product — nothing short of a miracle!" —Sarah Han

Price: $39 (available in 30 shades)

    5. Fenty Beauty Match Stix Shimmer Skinsticks are ethereal, magnetic, and pigment-packed gifts from Queen Riri herself so that you (yes, you, mere mortal) can achieve a fabulous ALL-OVER GLOW.

    Christina Lan / BuzzFeed

"By now, you're probably tired of hearing everybody scream about how outrageously magical Fenty Beauty is, but guess what??? You're going to hear it again: Fenty Beauty is the best.

First of all, the Shimmer Skinsticks are MAGNETIC!!!!! They're all homies that feel separation anxiety when they're not together...hence the need to buy every single colour. I only have three of them (Starstruck, Sinamon, and Yacht Lyfe) right now, sadly, but will very soon be adding to the collection. Although they are petite-sized, they pack a punch when it comes to pigmentation, just like all of the collection's Killawatt Highlighters. Honestly, I broke up with all my other highlighters, eyeshadows, and blushes when I bought these because I can wear them all over my face. YES, you heard that right. I can put Sinamon on my lids or on my cheeks as bronzer and similarly I can put Yacht Lyfe on my cheeks and on my lips. They're the chameleons of makeup." —Christina Lan

Price: $33 (available in six shades)

    6. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask keeps dry skin hydrated, plump, and absolutely glowing — whether you're experiencing wintery skin woes or just dealing with extra dryness, this gentle formula exfoliates and brightens overnight, so your face is soft and prepped.

    AnaMaria Glavan

"Winter wreaks havoc on my skin. It always feels SO dry and dull (especially around my nose, under my eyes, and on my cheeks), and I really struggle to keep it feeling moisturized. Until now. Let me introduce you to the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. Yes, the one you’ve probably seen all over Instagram. Honestly? Holy moly, it is so good.

This fast-absorbing mask has a fresh and minty scent that feels super clean on your skin — which makes sense considering it’s free of parabens, sulfates, and dyes. It uses chestnut extract that acts as a mild exfoliation to combat dullness, but it also contains niacinamide and vitamin C to hydrate the HECK out of your complexion. You can use it as an overnight mask OR as a primer for your makeup. Does it work? YEAH. My skin hasn’t felt dry in months, the smell is absolutely lovely, and it gives my complexion a dewy glow. I also love that I can use it as an eye cream/mask when that area is feeling particularly dry.

The first time I used this, I was actually shocked at how dewy my complexion looked. Even a friend commented on how “I was having a good skin day” and asked what I was using. Is this pricey? Yes. But skincare is an investment, and this is definitely something to have in your product arsenal." —AnaMaria Glavan

    Price: $63

    7. Milk Gel Brow is a waterproof pencil that breathes much-needed life and visibility (👀) into your brows so you can easily frame your face and slay all day long.

    Rebecca O'Connell / BuzzFeed

"I have very light eyebrows. So light that sometimes they don't even show up in pictures and it looks like they've been shaved off. Tired of looking like the victim of a frat-party prank, I've turned to Milk's Gel Brow for eyebrows that can be seen by both a camera and the human eye.

The oily pencil gives brows a prominent, matte look that appears natural but bold. It's also super waterproof, so I can jump in the pool and come out without leaving my eyebrows in the water. The pencil comes in three colours: Pale Ale, Pilsner, and Dark Brew. I'm currently sipping on the lightest colour, Pale Ale, but I might be brave and get the Pilsner shade next. I'm just so relieved to finally have natural-looking eyebrows that people can actually see. Applying takes only 30 seconds and it completely transforms my face. I really recommend this pencil for people who want to colour in their brows once in the morning and then forget about them for the rest of day. It stays on so well!" —Rebecca O'Connell

Price: $24 (available in three shades)

    8. Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff pampers your peepers with energizing ingredients like coffee beans, panax ginseng, magnolia extract, and natural optic brighteners (natural highlight, come through!), so over time you can wake up to less puffiness and reduced dark circles — brb, buying a lifetime supply.

    Brittaney Trent

"I love Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream and have been using it every morning for over a year! It didn't take long to see results and I started noticing the changes within the first weeks of using it. What I love most about this product is that it's made with caffeine and also has a natural highlighter mixed in. It has truly made a huge difference in reducing the puffiness and dark circles under my eyes.

Now I barely wear any makeup (picture above is makeup free)! Plus, the highlighter in the cream actually brightens your under eye and gives the appearance of big, awake eyes — which is much needed every morning!" —Brittaney Trent

Price: $34+ (available in two sizes)

    9. Kevyn Aucoin Glass Skin Face Gloss makes skin look like a dewy dumpling. Plus, mixing it in with foundation makes the glow look v natural and not too overboard.

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed

"This Glass Glow Highlighter literally turns my face into 'dewy dumpling' status. Allow me to explain. It's inspired by and borrows heavily from the popular K-beauty 'glass skin' concept — which, if it isn't inherent from the name, denotes ultra-smooth, pore-minimized, and glass-like skin. And wowowow, when I mix this highlighter with my foundation, I'm taken aback by the dewiness and glowiness of my own skin! I had a 'is this even possible' kind of reaction the first time. My foundations are typically matte because I want that full coverage, but I also want my skin to look dewy and glossy — and I never thought I could have both, tbh.

I wasn't too sure about it at first, since I haven't jived well with face glosses in the past, but for some reason — while this product is definitely a tad sticky — it wears more easily and naturally. It doesn't feel like it's really sitting there on my skin, and you can always set it a bit with a light mist. My favourite shade is Prism Rose just because it has a rosy (duh) finish and adds a little colour/flush to my face to make it look like I don't stay indoors all the time, but they also have a more ~sheer~ colour called Crystal Clear that is also lovely! You don't even need highlighter (I'm not wearing any in the first photo) but if you add some (as I often do), it pops **even more** on top of the Glass Glow. Consider me glowed up!!" —Sarah Han

Price: $43 (available in three shades)

    10. Tatcha The Water Cream is an oil-free moisturizer that ~actually~ works for combination skin, meaning it doesn't dry out your skin (no random rough patches) or clog your pores (bye, shiny T-zone).

    Yi Yang / BuzzFeed

"Everyone, I have finally found THE ONLY moisturizer that soothes my sensitive combination skin. I applied some onto my hand, and to my surprise, the cream instantly turned into a water-like consistency — it absorbed quickly and didn’t leave a sticky residue, and the smell was incredibly fresh and not too perfumey. According to its description, the product is oil-free, noncomedogenic (aka it doesn’t block pores), non-irritating, non-sensitizing, dermatologist-tested, and cruelty-free. It also doesn’t contain mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. I decided to give it a try, and within a week, my skin was noticeably less irritated. The pimples were still there (because this is not an acne-treating moisturizer), but new ones stopped popping up. The formula was gentle enough that it didn’t make any existing zits inflamed (which happens a lot when I try new products). It was light enough that my T-zone didn’t get too shiny, but also hydrating enough that my cheeks felt properly moisturized. My makeup went on smoothly too — no more random dry patches.

By the time the sample ran out, most of my pimples had healed on their own and my face looked clearer than it had in a long time. I took a leap of faith and ordered the full-size jar, and I haven’t looked back since! Even though it's pricey ($68!!) and I hate spending a lot on cosmetics, I do believe it’s worth it since NOTHING ELSE has achieved the same effect for me. Plus, a little goes a long way with this cream." —Yi Yang

Price: $26+ (available in three sizes)

    11. Bite Beauty Agave Lip Balm is the perfect dose of soothing hydration and restoration for your lips — formulated with agave and rare Madagascan vanilla CO2 extract, your lips stay soft all day and primed for colour if you decide to go that route.

    Sephora, Anna McCarter

"Because my lips get extremely dry and flaky all winter long, I was previously devoted to medicated Chapstick and would need to continuously reapply it all day. I was on the hunt for a lip balm with natural ingredients that would keep my lips super hydrated in the cold, dry months. This Bite Beauty lip balm is now my forever go-to lip moisturizer! It is better than any lip balm I’ve ever tried. It is so soothing and comfortable to wear and it really feels like it penetrates your dry lips rather than just sitting on top. If you are an all-natural beauty lover, you will love the simple, plant-based formula that is free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates. Plus, the matte black tube is very cute and chic!" —Anna McCarter

Price: $18 (or get it directly from Bite Beauty for $14 USD)

    12. GlamGlow My Little Pony Purple #GlitterMask Gravitymud scores high for cuteness, but it also does the damn job — aka it deep cleanses and tightens your skin, so it can better absorb your subsequent skincare products.

    Essence Gant / BuzzFeed,

"I'm embarrassingly stereotypically girly, so when I got the My Little Pony Purple #GlitterMask Gravitymud by GlamGlow, the eight-year-old Limited Too-addicted girl in me leaped for joy! I don't even do masks that often because my K-Beauty skin care routine is already so extensive, but this mask was purple and glittery, so I gave it a whirl. I stirred the mask with the mini spatula applicator it comes with and then spread it on my face, like the instructions advised. Then I let it dry, which took about 20 minutes, and took a lot of selfies while bumping Janelle Monae's Dirty Computer album. When it dried, I peeled it off, starting at an edge near my chin that was already lifting. If you thought peeling masks was satisfying before, wait until you peel a GLITTER mask. It's practically skin care meets DIY meets Frida Kahlo painting; it's ART, people!

The benefits claim to firm, like the original Gravitymud treatment, and my skin did feel cleaner and tighter after. I wiped away the excess with a damp wash cloth and followed up with my toner, essence, serum and moisturizer. (I'd already cleansed my face beforehand, which you're supposed to do.) I recommend it 1000%, especially if you're looking for a cute and fun beauty thing to do with your friends or bridal party." —Essence Gant

Price: $75 (available in three colours)

    13. Laura Mercier Glow Brush has the perfect ~contour~ that'll hug your cheekbones (or any other curves on your face!) and deposit the just-right amount of highlighter to make you glow for hours on end!

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed

"I truly don't get excited about brushes often. I use them all the time and they do their job, but besides that, *shrug*. But that ends here! Because some brushes make applying makeup way easier and more enjoyable, and they deserve more credit! Such is the case with the Laura Mercier Glow Brushit has just the right amount of brush hair density to pick up ample highlighter in one go, the contour hugs my cheekbones just right, and it disperses highlighter across a wider-than-usual area so it doesn't look like you just have a ~strip~ of shimmer across your face. And after reading a bunch of reviews, it seems like it would be fab for powder blush and setting powder as well!" —Sarah Han

    Price: $58

    14. Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb is the lightweight moisturizer to end all lightweight moisturizers — the oil-free gel-cream formula instantly ~bursts~, disperses, and sinks into skin, banishing dryness/flakiness and leaving behind a hydrated, bouncy complexion.

    Kayla Suazo, Rachel Dunkel

"Aqua Bomb moisturizer is easily my desert island skincare product. Although I have dry-leaning combination skin, I hate most moisturizers because creamy formulas feel heavy and just yucky to me, especially under makeup. Aqua Bomb's gel-like consistency absorbs like a dream. It's soothing to stressed out skin in the winter and cooling through the heat of summer. I recommend it to friends of all skin types because it gives your skin that bouncy hydration it craves without feeling oily in the slightest. I've put it on every night and most mornings for years and have no plans of stopping anytime soon!" —Rachel Dunkel

"This winter has been unusually brutal for my skin, especially for my T-zone. My forehead, nose, and chin are constantly peeling and there are days when I seriously feel like I’m shedding out of my own skin. I tried doubling up on moisturizing and hydrating masks, but nothing was keeping my face from peeling throughout the day. I’d put my makeup on and by midday the flakes were back.

I finally asked my coworkers for some recommendations and per their direction decided to give this Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb a shot. It’s on the pricier side, but given that my cheaper moisturizers weren’t doing the trick, I figured it would be the worth the splurge. Well thank heavens I WAS RIGHT. This baby right here is a long-lasting moisturizer that makes my thirsty skin feel like it was dunked in a cooling bath of rich water concocted by the gods themselves. And then — yeah, I am not done yet — it dries, and leaves behind the most refreshing, cooling sensation. To top it all off, the flakes are gone. I use it before makeup application and before bed, and just like that, my face has stopped peeling, even on the coldest days. I could go on and on about this, but I’ll wrap this up with a good ol’: BUY THIS, YOU WON’T REGRET IT." —Kayla Suazo

Price: $27+ (available in two sizes)

    15. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner won't budge, smear, flake, or fade even when the day throws rain, tears, and humidity at you. This is my holy grail product — really, this is me:

    Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

"I walk a lot since I live in New York City and don't own a car, and, as pictured, this held up on a humid spring day. With other liquid liners I've experienced smudges and flakiness by midday — so the fact that this made it to my bedtime (14 hours AFTER application) without smearing is amazing to me. And washing it off is a total breeze, which I don't understand at all, but there's no fuss when removing it with makeup wipes or other cleansers.

It also survived a full workday and then a workout, so IDK, this must be some type of witchcraft because that never happens with my other liners." —Kayla Suazo

Price: $27.50 (available in two shades)

    16. Fresh Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream gives your skin an instant ~glow up~ because it's packed with energizing ingredients like citrus fruit extracts that make your skin look brighter (and way less tired).

    Angela Krasnick / BuzzFeed

"After hearing a lot of people rave abut the Fresh Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream, I decided to try it — and within one day my face was feeling baby-soft and looking hydrated and flake-free. It also smells really good! I originally used it in the mornings and at night, but thanks to this product's effectiveness, my skin has been so moisturized that I only need to apply it in the a.m. now. A little goes a long way, so it'll last me a very long time.

Since I'd been using a very matte foundation, my skin had to adjust to this new amount of moisture — I didn't break out, but my makeup needed some reapplying throughout the day. However, now that my skin's gotten used to the moisturizer, my foundation goes on a lot more smoothly and even lasts longer. And without makeup, this product keeps my face feeling soft and hydrated, and it reduces redness. I'd say it's definitely worth the hype." —Angela Krasnick

    Price: $55

    17. Fenty Pro Filt'r Concealer provides full coverage, yet doesn't feel goopy or clumpy meaning it blends out really nicely and makes my redness, dark spots, and uneven skin tone (oh my!) totally disappear.

    Sarah Han

"This stuff is so good that I can easily just wear this on my spotty problem areas and forgo my beloved BB creams. I'll usually apply some to the back of my hand, warm it up with my finger, and dab it on any red spots on my cheeks, nose, and looooots of dark spots all around from my bad skin-picking habits (that my iPhone somehow makes look worse than it does IRL!!! FUN!!). If I'm in a rush, my clean fingers blend it in just fine, but I actually like using a small brush with this one (or Beautyblender, depending on my mood). The just-right creamy formula blends beautifully, looks super natural, erases pigmentation, and I barely feel it on my face! Wins on all fronts.

I've also been relying on this concealer whenever I feel like covering up my scar (from stitches). I'm not too self-conscious about it and I definitely don't want to c a k e on product — the concealer simply hides the redness and makes it almost invisible, even though my brow area is a tricky, uneven surface. Some people even commented they didn't even notice my scar until I pointed it out, so that's definitely another win for me." —Sarah Han

Price: $35 (available in 50 shades)

    18. Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick gives you the matte-ish finish you want while keeping your lips happy, smooth, and moisturized*. Oh, and "Bond Girl" is the perfect everyday berry colour. 💁

    Sarah Han, Jillian Karande

*This is due to orchid extract and a secret ingredient. WHAT IS IT, CHARLOTTE?

"I've probably mentioned that I'm 100% a liquid lipstick girl in many BuzzFeed product reviews in the past, but consider me a (kinda) changed girl! I still love liquids, but I've been wearing creamy, slightly more hydrating lipsticks more often to try and save my lips from being perpetually 3D-textured and chapped from this never-ending NYC winter — and specifically, Charlotte Tilbury's Bond Girl has become my go-to. It wears super comfortably and smoothly, and definitely feels more like a demi-matte than a true matte, which is extremely fine by me. It has surprisingly decent staying power, so it'll hold up through a medium-heavy meal, but the packaging is so pretty that I'm constantly pulling it out for retouches just because. It's the perfect everyday colour: not too bold, but still packs a pretty berry punch, and it ~complements~ my hair, which is always a bonus." —Sarah Han

"It is a truth universally acknowledged that cold weather and matte lipstick are not friends. Why would you want to put something on that only emphasizes the fact that your lips are somehow even dryer than your scaly elbows? Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl is the answer for anyone who wants a matte lip but isn’t a fan of liquid formulas that tend to suck out any trace of moisture. It’s one of the very few ~pricey~ lipsticks I’ve ever bought — at $39 it’s considerably more expensive than my average drugstore buy — and it’s become a staple in my makeup bag (sorry @mywallet). Matte but moisturizing and with a buildable formula, this lipstick is the perfect neutral berry." –Jillian Karande

Price: $39 (available in 12 shades)

    19. Too Faced Melted Matte Lipstick nixes all of the things you hate about liquid lipstick — a super drying formula and intense bleeding — and only lends ya the good stuff, aka boss-ass colour that stays put no matter what, no liner needed.

    Emily Erhart / BuzzFeed,

"I have a love/hate relationship with matte lipsticks for two reasons:

    1. They bleed like CRAZY, so you need to line the mess out of your lips to keep things in check.

    2. They dry my lips out more than a sandstorm in the Mojave Desert!

However, on days where a matte lip is a MUST, this Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Longwear Matte Lipstick is basically the sweet, sweet music of cherub wings as they bless us with this gift from the lipstick gawds. My fave shade is Lady Balls...because...duh?" —Emily Erhart

Price: $28 (available in 22 shades)

    20. Sephora Collection Rouge Gel Lip Liner looks fab when worn solo for the perfect dose of summer colour that won’t melt off your face or bleed.

    Elizabeth Lilly / BuzzFeed

"Summer living as someone who loves to wear makeup is brutal anywhere, but my skin is also oily; I sweat profusely, and most days I feel like my makeup is slowly melting into a sludge. One morning a few weeks ago I applied Sephora Rouge Gel Lip Liner in 02 Nothin’ But Nude as a prep for liquid lipstick when I realized it looked quite nice solo. I went with it and had to reapply a bit after lunch, but didn’t have to worry about any colour bleeding or ending up on my chin while eating a sandwich. (Somehow I’ve mastered eating a cupcake while wearing red lipstick, but not a sandwich.)

The next day I stopped by my local Sephora and bought the same liner in 03 Rose Wine and 23 Pardon My French. The stuff is moisturizing, easy to apply, and comes with a built-in sharpener that, tbh, you don’t really need. It even works great as a base for lipstick, as intended! In short, it’s about as low-maintenance as it gets. I even wore it to a friend’s birthday party at a sweaty dive bar (like, a real one with bars on the window and no A/C) when I struck up a convo with my friend Katie, who has beautiful olive skin that tans way darker than I could ever dream of for my own. We realized we were both wearing the 03 Rose Wine alone as a mere coincidence and it looked great on BOTH of us. Sure, I’ll have to replenish my beauty arsenal faster than with a regular lipstick, but I don’t mind." —Elizabeth Lilly

Price: $17 (available in 26 shades)

    Ugh, we love you, Sephora!
