33 Beauty Products That BuzzFeed Writers Have Actually Tried And 100% Swear By

Tried, tested, and loved by BuzzFeed writers and editors!

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

This post features a mix of items that we purchased with our own money and those that were provided to us at no cost for the sake of review. (But! We’re under no obligation to write a review of those things, let alone a positive review.)

    1. A tube of Instant Age Rewind Concealer won't crease throughout the day — but it WiLL cover up those dark circles and help cover up fine lines. And it doesn't cost a lot, either.

    BuzzFeed

"There are few beauty products out there that I consistently go back to, which says a lot because I love everything that has to do with makeup. But alas, here I am, consistently finding my way back to Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer. It’s just *THAT* good! I still don’t know how a $13 tube of concealer beats out the more expensive ones I have stuffed into my vanity, but it does. It’s not too creamy or thick, yet it still gives solid coverage without the cake-y feeling. It blends incredibly well with every foundation I wear.

I also really enjoy the sponge applicator. I still go over whatever I apply with a Beauty Blender to get that matte look, but having the sponge makes it easier and means I don’t have to use my fingers to dab under my eyes. When I am done with my entire routine, my eyes look lighter and brighter, but not in a way that’s totally obvious — even when photos are taken and the flash is on. Basically what I am saying here is this is a staple beauty product that, IMHO, deserves a place in every makeup bag! And ya can’t argue with a $13 price tag." —Kayla Suazo

Get it from Shoppers Drug Mart for $12.99 (available in ten shades).

    2. A Garnier Moisture Bomb sheet mask that will moisturize the heck out of your face. Say goodbye to flakes around your nose, and hello to smooth, plump skin.

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

"I love a good sheet mask, and the Garnier Moisture Bomb sheet mask is one of my absolute favourites. Unlike other masks that are made of microgel, cellulose, or foil, this mask is made out of cotton, which is not only super soft, but more environmentally friendly. I have oily/combination skin, so my cheeks and chin tend to be drier than the T-zone. I love using the Pomegranate sheet mask to boost the moisture levels in my skin, but all the different types of masks are equal when it comes to hydration. I can immediately see brighter, smoother, and more hydrated skin after just 15 minutes on my face. I use them a couple times a week before I go to bed, so I wake up with my skin at its best." —Kaysey Davis

Get it from Shoppers Drug Mart for $3.59.

    3. A tube of Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara that'll give your lashes that fluttery, dreamy look, without needing to use any fake lashes (but you can if you want).

    Emma McAnaw

"When I tried Maybelline's Falsies mascara I was s h o o k by its amazing quality. It trumps even some of the crème de la crème of the industry that I previously SWORE by. First of all, this is the softest brush I've ever felt. Seriously Maybelline what is this made of? Angel feathers?! Plus, its curved handle is cleverly designed to grab each and every lash for an even and natural-looking finish. It even bends to move *with* your lashes and successfully avoid clumping! I have never (not once!) battled with a clump when using this lifesaver. This is truly the first mascara I've tried that works perfectly the first time instead of needing time to get used to the formula. This mascara gives me thick, full lashes without feeling too overdone — in fact they make my lashes feel feathery soft!" —Emma McAnaw

Get it from Shoppers Drug Mart for $6.99 (available in three shades).

    4. A tube of Lanolips ointment that'll help heal and moisturize the dry, flaky lips you may have developed during the winter. Bring back that soft pout!

    BuzzFeed / Natalie Brown

"Before I found Lanolips, I suffered from chronically dry lips, thanks to an anxiety-induced lip-licking habit I have yet to break, prescription tretinoin I use daily for acne (not directly on my lips, obvs, but it's just that drying), and a medication I take that just happens to be incredibly dehydrating. (Just peep the pic above! And that's not even really 'before' — it's just when I stopped using Lanolips for four straight days, then two days after I started wearing it again.) The very *first* time I applied Lanolips, it made SUCH a difference through the rest of the evening that I couldn't stop rubbing my lips together and lightly patting them with my fingers! Now, I apply a tiny amount about three times a day and haven't suffered from chapped lips since. When it wears off (or soaks in? I think it does a little of both) a little bit later, my lips are still super soft, healthy-looking, and don't hurt or crack when I smile!" —Natalie Brown

Get the unscented, unflavoured Original 101 Superbalm from Sephora Canada for $23.

    5. A tube of Revlon's Candid Anti-Pollution foundation that provides gorgeous medium coverage. Plus, it'll be nice to your skin and your wallet.

    BuzzFeed / Sarah Han, Revlon

"I didn't think I would stumble upon the perfect medium-thickness, glowy-finish foundation, but I was proven wrong with the new Revlon PhotoReady Candid Foundation. It's a true Goldilocks-like option for me. It manages to make my skin look airbrushed and blur random dark spots and lil' bumps in a matter of a few Beauty Blender dabs. It's surprisingly fast to apply and blend, unlike thicker foundations — while still having ample coverage. However, for more troublesome bumps (thanks, stress), I like to go over just those spots a second time for extra assurance. And my skin just has this healthy radiance to it after application? AHH. 😍 My only qualm is that it needs to come in bigger sizes! Good thing it's super affordable and you only need a little dollop each time, but still! Gimme a jumbo version, please!" —Sarah Han

Get it from Shoppers Drug Mart for $16.49 (available in 22 shades).

    6. Some Physician's Formula Rosé All Day Petal Glow highlighter, which will give you a natural (but gorgeous!) glow, and it'll last all dang day. No need for touch-ups!

    @physiciansformula / Instagram / Via instagram.com, Victoria Kuglin/BuzzFeed

"I wouldn't call myself a makeup aficionado. In fact, my routine is minimal at best. But one thing I never, ever skip is my highlighter — and this is the glowiest and loveliest of them all. I was first attracted to the cute packaging and rose-shaped pressing, but the formula is a total DREAM, too! Not only does it apply super easily, but it blends well and stays put all day long, completely eliminating the need for touch-ups.

This highlighter is infused with skin-loving kakadu plum and rose oil, so it feels ultra luxe and light on my face, which is a huge bonus. It's also an astonishingly good dupe for Cover FX's Custom Enhancer Drops (and at a fraction of the price). And the powdery, delicate tea rose scent makes me feel like I'm applying some sort of magic elixir to my face. Plus, peep that soft, natural glow!" —Victoria Kuglin

Get it from Shoppers Drug Mart for $14.69 (available in four shades).

    7. A bottle of Dickinson's Witch Hazel Toner that'll help make your skin smoother and clearer, without irritating it.

    Augusta Falletta

"After a life of mostly good skin, I recently started getting cystic acne on my chin, redness on my cheeks and more oil than usual on my forehead. I received a bottle of Dickinson's Witch Hazel Toner and started using it a few weeks ago (morning and night after cleansing and followed by moisturizer) and HOO BOY let me tell you, it's amazing. First of all, my skin is smoother than my infant nephew's butt after a warm bath. My combo skin has leveled out and the cystic acne on my chin healed — and no new pimples have sprouted up since." — Augusta Falletta

Get it from Walmart Canada for $12.95.

    8. NYX Epic Ink Liner will make you glad you didn't give up on drug store makeup, because you can still get a pro-level eyeliner look without spending a ton of $$$.

    Sarah Han

"I don't wear eyeliner every day, but whenever I do, it has to be black liquid eyeliner. And not just any liquid eyeliner — it has to dry extremely fast down to a matte finish, can't bleed, can't tug on my eyelids, and has to have a flexible but firm tip that allows me 100% control and precision. Epic Ink checks off all of the boxes, and for someone who usually defers to higher-end brands, the price (and convenience of finding it at an actual drug store like Shoppers Drug Mart) is the cherry on top." — Sarah Han

    9. Some Glow Recipe Watermelon Juice moisturizer that'll absorb quickly while still plumping up your skin — and it's great on its own (for oily skin types) or paired with a heavier moisturizer (if you have dry skin).

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed

"What makes something truly game-changing for me is how often I use it — aka, if I consciously (and subconsciously) reach for it after I wash my face. Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Juice Moisturizer is one of those products, and its gel-like formula is the definition of lightweight, quick-absorbing, and cooling. Most importantly, it makes my face feel hella soft, visibly hydrated (it doesn’t just disappear), and just the slightest bit bouncier. I can't trust any moisturizer without hyaluronic acid as one of its main ingredients. And watermelon has major soothing properties, which is clutch whenever my face decides to flare up with redness after a particularly thorough cleansing sesh. Never stop making this, Glow Recipe!" — Sarah Han

Get it from Sephora Canada for $28+ (available in mini and standard sizes).

    10. The Huda Beauty The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette that'll give you all the beautiful pink shades your pretty face desires, in a variety of finishes.

    instagram.com, Sarah Han

"When Huda’s The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette landed on my desk, I knew it would be love at first application. When it comes to eyeshadow, I want them to 👏show up 👏on my eyelids, which means they gotta be very pigmented from the very first swipe. Fantasy (my favourite base or solo colour), Crave (for the perfect inner corner sparkle), Daydream, and Charmed are by far my favourite shades because they all have shimmering pearl flecks that impart this gorgeous, duo-chromatic finish that looks sooo good on their own, which is quite a feat and comes in real handy when I'm in a hurry (first selfie), and even better when layered (second selfie). I've never see multidimensional shades quite like them and they're sparkly without being messy! I've been wearing them nonstop, but I also love that this palette has a variety of finishes, from mattes to straight-up glitter — so it's easy to create looks of all intensities. Lovelovelove." — Sarah Han

Get it from Sephora Canada for $86.

    11. A bottle of Elizabeth Arden's Retinol Ceramide Capsules that'll improve your skin's texture practically overnight — you'll look like you're glowing.

    @elizabetharden / Via instagram.com

"I recently turned 30, so I decided this was the perfect time to give retinol a try. I've been using these Elizabeth Arden retinol capsules and so far I love it. Retinol does many things: it diminishes lines and wrinkles, improves skin texture and tone, minimizes pores, and plenty more. I have noticed my skin does look more plump and it has a ~glow~ that wasn't there before. I also love that they come in capsules because it makes it so much easier while traveling." —Daniela Cadena

Get it from Shoppers Drug Mart for $110.

    12. A container of Biossance vegan lip balm that'll heal, hydrate, and plump up your pout.

    @biossance / Via instagram.com

"I use this lip balm every night before bed, and wake up to plump, soft lips every morning — whether they're cracked from wintry breezes, or irritated from too much sun, this magic little jar heals all ills. And a little bit goes a LONG way, too. I've had my current jar for three months, and am only now hitting the bottom." —Victoria Kuglin

Get it at Sephora Canada for $24.

    13. The Pat McGrath Labs Mothership V Eyeshadow Palette: Bronze Seduction has all the deep, bold, pigmented shades that'll help you really make a statement.

    Essence Gant/BuzzFeed

"The makeup artist and icon finally launched her own brand and the products are pigmented and luxe because DUH, it's Pat. The Mothership V Palette: Bronze Seduction is my current obsession and here are all reasons I'm swooning over it. The pigment payoff is actually bonkers, in a good way, and there are ten shades in matte and shimmer formulas. In the pic above, I'm only wearing one very light-handed application of the shades Elite Flame and Bronze Blaze, so you can only imagine if you were to really build on the shadow. And because it is so pigmented, a little goes a very long way and the palette lasts forever. But onto the packaging, which I'm OBSESSED with. It comes in this sleek and chic hard black rectangle case that kind of looks like a formal clutch when you close it. You'll be getting a quality and glamorous experience with this palette." —Essence Gant

    14. A bottle of Nars Sheer Glow foundation that'll give your skin a beautiful dewy look, as though you've actually been drinking enough water for once.

    Nars / Via fave.co

"I was already living for #TeamNars, but one day I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try their sheer glow foundation. Y'all, I'm pressed on this foundation. It's actually very buildable, so even if you are someone who wants more of full coverage vibe, you can get that with this foundation. Secondly, it's not drying to the skin, and you come out with this beautiful, natural glow." — Jamé Jackson

Get it from Sephora Canada for $61 (available in 40 shades).

    15. Tatcha The Essence will make your skin so much clearer, smoother, and plumper that you might actually not mind the price tag.

    Tatcha / Via Instagram: @https://www.instagram.com/tatcha/?hl=en

"Tatcha The Essence is my holy grail, my skin's anthem, and the deliverer of softness. Yes, I know the price tag is extremely steep, but I totally attribute this to the health and softness of my skin throughout the colder months, and it also keeps my skin glowing all year round — my skin Drinks. It. Up. I also like to apply multiple layers of essence — some people do up to seven layers — but I just do three, only taking a few drops at a time. Gently patting in my essence is also a signal to my brain that I'm officially unwinding for the night — and that's priceless." — Sarah Han

Get it from Sephora Canada for $124.

    16. A NARS Velvet matte lip pencil that will give your lippies the vibrant, defined colour you want, without fading sloppily throughout the day and night.

    Nars / Via instagram.com, Victoria Kuglin/BuzzFeed

"I found this NARS matte lip pencil entirely by accident after I received a sample of it years ago, before I was even old enough to appreciate a good red lippie. I got it in the Cruella shade, and it has undoubtedly stood the test of time. It's one of the only cosmetics I repeatedly buy, because it looks just as great with a tanned, summer complexion, as it does with my ghostly winter skin. My personal favourite feature, though, is that it fades into a wonderful, crimson stain on the lips after longer wear, and doesn't leave that annoying lipstick ring that looks like I sloppily drank Kool-Aid (you know the look I'm talking about). And because it's a lip pencil, it's so much easier to apply than a traditional lipstick, so you don't need to be a makeup artist to apply it. And it's non-drying!" —Victoria Kuglin

Get it from Sephora Canada for $35 (available in 23 shades).

    17. A tube of L'Oréal Paradise Lash Mascara which will hold its own against the pricier mascaras out there — but this one costs a lot less, and won't smudge throughout the day.

    Maitland Quitmeyer / BuzzFeed

"I've tried a lot of mascaras. But I'm never switching to another one after trying L'Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara. This is the only mascara I've tried that doesn't leave a black smudge in the bottom outer corner of my eye by the end of the day. The ONLY one! It's super customizable, so you can just swipe on a quick coat when you're running out the door to get a bagel on Saturday and don't want to wear a lot of makeup or you can really build up the coverage for a mega-lashed look (without clumping). It provides equal parts length and volume and makes lashes look dramatic but not crazy. Plus, it does NOT flake off throughout the day, yet it's really easy to remove at night (meaning you don't lose any precious hairs). It also comes in a super-pretty tube, which always helps." —Maitland Quitmeyer

Get it from Shoppers Drug Mart for $9.99 (available in three shades).

    18. A bottle of Bio Oil that'll help reduce acne scars, even out your skin tone, and seal in moisture on your precious, precious face.

    @biooilcanada / Via instagram.com

"A few months ago, I burned my forehead with a curling iron. (No, I don't have any photos of it, because... well, I was embarrassed.) The mark faded within a couple of weeks, but not completely, and it didn't seem to be going away. Since I started using Bio Oil in January, the scar has faded a lot more — as have the acne scars I've had for years. I use it in the morning and right before bed, after applying my toner but before applying my moisturizer, and my skin has never looked or felt better." —Kat Angus

Get it from Shoppers Drug Mart for $22.99+ (available in two sizes).

    19. The Diorshow Mascara that'll give your mascaras the length and volume you've always dreamt of, without clumping up.

    Dior

"I got this mascara in a goodie bag and it's one of those products that I will definitely go out a buy once I'm done with it. It's incredible! It makes my lashes look so much longer and bolder than any other mascaras I've tried. It gives me this doe-eye look Audrey Hepburn would kill for. It also never smears, which is a plus since I wear contacts." —Daniela Cadena

Get it from Sephora Canada for $37 (available in three colours).

    20. A bottle of Drops of Youth Liquid Face Peel from The Body Shop that'll gently exfoliate the skin on your face without irritating it — and you can actually see it working!

    Kaysey Davis/BuzzFeed

"I try to exfoliate my skin a couple times a week and this peel is the easiest and gentlest way to do it. I just rub it onto my skin in circular motions and watch as it lifts all the dead skin from my face. It takes less than a minute to work and my skin feels so smooth afterwards. It’s kind of gross and also really satisfying to watch. I've been using it for a couple years now and it's completely changed the texture of my skin. I also love using it on other parts of my body like my hands and my feet that tend to get a bit drier, especially during the winter months." —Kaysey Davis

Get it from The Body Shop for $20 (on sale, usually $25).

    21. A container of delicious-smelling Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask that'll reinvigorate your skin overnight with the help of avocado and glacier water.

    Rhonda Elnaggar / BuzzFeed

"This is the greatest overnight moisturizing mask. It's perfect for anyone who's low maintenance. At night, after you wash your face, you put it on directly before you go to sleep, and wake up with amazingly soft and glowing skin! Anybody who struggles with dry skin (especially in the winter time) will die for this. Plus, it smells amazing!" —Rhonda Elnaggar

Get it from Sephora Canada for $17 (mini) or $33 (standard).

    22. The FOREO Luna Mini 2, which will only take 60 seconds to cleanse your pores of dirt, makeup, and dead skin cells, using the power of tiny vibrations. And you'll never have to buy a replacement brush head — ever.

    Maitland Quitmeyer/BuzzFeed

"I wear a full face of makeup every day, and I am consistently amazed by the results of this tool. When the 60 seconds are over, I rinse my face and apply my other products (toner, eye cream, and moisturizer). That's it!! And did I mention it's TOTALLY WATERPROOF?! Yep, you can use this in the shower and not worry about anything happening to it at all! The acne scars on my cheeks from a series of breakouts are fading fast, and I get new acne very rarely — they're more like a pimple here and there occasionally." —Maitland Quitmeyer

Get it from Sephora Canada for $159 (available in six colours).

    23. A bottle of Alterna bamboo hair serum that can solve basically any hair-related problem you're having. Split ends, frizziness — you name it, this baby will help.

    Sephora / Via fave.co

"It took me years to find a serum that I really liked for my hair. Once I found this one, I just never stopped using it! I have people DM me all the time asking what I do for my hair because I basically have all the struggles of curly hair, but I don't actually have the ringlet curls: I just have the big, frizzy, wavy but sometimes curly hair. It's amazing." —Chantel Houston

Get it from Sephora Canada for $33.50.

    24. Some Sephora Collection Rouge Gel Lip Liner that'll give your lips some colour and definition, without bleeding or melting off throughout the day.

    Elizabeth Lilly / BuzzFeed

"One morning a few weeks ago, I applied Sephora Rouge Gel Lip Liner in 02 Nothin’ But Nude as a prep for liquid lipstick when I realized it looked quite nice solo. I went with it and had to reapply a bit after lunch, but didn’t have to worry about any colour bleeding or ending up on my chin while eating a sandwich. (Somehow I’ve mastered eating a cupcake while wearing red lipstick, but not a sandwich.) The stuff is moisturizing, easy to apply, and comes with a built-in sharpener that, tbh, you don’t really need. It even works great as a base for lipstick, as intended! In short, it’s about as low-maintenance as it gets." —Elizabeth Lilly

Get it from Sephora Canada for $17 (available in two finishes and 39 shades).

    25. This weightless Verb Ghost Oil that'll absorb quickly into your hair, giving you the smooth, flyaway-free 'do you've been trying to master for years.

    @verbproducts / Via instagram.com

"It makes my hair super silky, and is a lot thicker than most oils — making it great for coarse, colour-treated hair. Plus, the thicker texture really coats every strand. If you really want to maximize the effects, get yourself the matching hair mask." —Alice Prendergast

Get it at Sephora Canada for $20.

    26. A tube of Urban Decay lipstick in a striking shade that'll really give your look a pop of colour.

    Victoria Kuglin / Via BuzzFeed, @urbandecaycosmetics / Via instagram.com

"Sure, it might be a bold shade, but it's also incredibly vibrant, flattering, and creamy as hell. Plus, it's easy to layer — you can even tap it lightly on your lips for a sheer wash of colour if committing to a full-on look is too much." —Victoria Kuglin

Get it at Sephora Canada for $25 (available in five finishes and 56 colours).

    27. The Amika Polished Perfection Straightening Brush, which will do all the work of your regular straightener, but it'll be much gentler on your hair as it smooths your hair. Plus, it'll keep your hair's volume, which a lot of straighteners don't.

    Hannah Loewentheil / BuzzFeed / Via buzzfeed.com

"My hair is naturally wavy...but not in that cute, beach-waves kinda way. It often dries to be pretty frizzy, and I usually pull it up into a messy bun or a braid. But recently, I decided to give another straightening tool a go: the Amika Polished Perfection Straightening Brush. It heats up to 450°F, and as you glide it through your hair, it smoothes and straightens, tames fly-aways, and maintains volume. The Amika brush left my hair smooth and silky, but it still had some volume, which I like compared to the pin-straight results I get from my straightening iron. Also, the Amika felt much more gentle on my hair than my straightening iron, which can sometimes feel like it's burning my hair.

Also important: Using this brush yielded much faster results than using my flat iron. It usually takes me about 10 minutes to straighten my whole head with an iron, but with this, it only took about half that time to become straight and frizz-free. (Obviously, if you have curly or thick hair, it might take you a bit longer.) All in all, I recommend it for people who want to straighten their hair while still maintaining volume, are searching for a new daily straightening appliance that holds up to its promises, and people who don't mind the price tag." —Hannah Loewentheil

Get it from Sephora Canada for $165.

    28. If you're a fan of glitter, some Ciaté London Glitter Flip will give your lips that shimmery look you've been searching for — and it'll gradually change its shade as you apply it.

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed

"I'm a straight-up sucker for glittery makeup. But let me tell ya, ladies and gents, the Ciaté London Glitter Flip takes it to the next damn level. First of all, applying this lipstick is only HALF the fun. Waiting that extra minute after initially putting it on to rub my lips together sounds so boring but is also so, so exciting!! I do realize I sound like a preteen who's just bought makeup for the first time — but it's pretty cool and ~novel~ to see your lipstick transform and enhance itself. To be totally honest, I still have no clue how it really works other than heat-friction-something-something, but I could care less! What matters are the results: a beautiful 3D-glitter extravaganza." —Sarah Han

Get it from Sephora Canada for $25 (available in 16 shades).

    29. Benefit 24-Hour Brow Setter will help you perfect the shape of your valuable brows — and hold them in shape 👏 ALL 👏 DAMN 👏 DAY 👏 .

    Jemima Skelley / BuzzFeed

"I'm not someone who ever ~does~ my eyebrows. I get them waxed every now and then, and I pluck stray hairs, but I've never mastered filling them in or incorporating them into my makeup routine. This brow gel is perfect for me – it makes my eyebrows look good, but I don't have to actually have any skill to use it. Basically, you just comb it through your brows and it gives them a good shape and makes them neat, plus they stay in place all day. It probably doesn't make a ~huge~ difference, but looking in the mirror and seeing neat brows makes me feel like my face has been elevated to a new level." —Jemima Skelley

Get it from Sephora Canada for $32.

    30. A bottle of Moroccanoil Curl Control Mousse that'll give your curls that holy-grail frizz-free definition. Nice try, humidity!

    Ignacia Fulcher / BuzzFeed

"Moroccanoil Curl Control Mousse is the truth, and I don't say that lightly. I had been looking for something to shield my curly hair from the humidity for a while, and when I happened upon this product I was honestly dubious. When I first put the mousse in my hair I was pleasantly surprised at how effective it was getting into the coil that I wanted without being stiff! Usually mousse makes my hair super crunchy, which is another reason why I try to stay away from it. With the curl control, it was still soft, supple, and totally touchable! Another thing I highly appreciated was that it didn't shrink my curls.

When I finally went outside and faced the New York City heat, my hair held up really well. It puffed a little, but my curls were really defined throughout the day, which is literally all I've ever asked from a mousse but never received until now. All in all I love this mousse, and if you're looking for a product to keep your curly hair in place, while also leaving it as silky and soft as a baby's bottom, I'd give it a try!" —Ignacia Fulcher

Get it from Sephora Canada for $28.

    31. SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick won't dry out your lips or get that annoying tacky feeling, and you'll still get the flattering colour pop on your lips that you want.

    BuzzFeed

"If you're like me and have sworn off liquid lips in the past, I'm here to say, give this Maybelline one a try! It's the first liquid lip I actually swear by! The applicator itself is revolutionary to me; it has a pointed oval shape with a hole in the middle. At first I didn't understand how this was going to help with application but let me tell you, it was a breeze! The hole in the middle holds a bit of product in it and as you swipe across the lips it paints a full-coverage coat in one go. You really don't need a lot either. One thin layer dries down in about a minute. Throughout the day it remains smooth and pigmented. It doesn't crack or peel either! Plus it comes in the cutest colours for every season! –Jennifer Tonti

Get it from Shoppers Drug Mart for $12.49 (available in nine shades).

    32. Some Master Precise All Day Ink Eyeliner that'll let you create that perfect cat-eye look, whether you're a total newbie or a seasoned pro.

    BuzzFeed

I haven’t worn eyeliner in years. It wears off too easily and is too hard to put on. But a friend threw this Maybelline liquid liner into my lap, I threw it onto my eyes, and I’m never taking it off (except when I responsibly wash my face before bed each night, mostly to prep my eyelids for this magic in the morning).

This liner has an applicator designed with a thin tip that gets slightly thicker at the base. The style allows me to lightly outline my game plan (the closest I’ll ever get to a sport’s reference in my life), create fine-tipped 'wings,' and then glide on a defined line from one end of my eyelid to the other. It dries fast enough that I don’t have a dark crease when I open my eyes to apply mascara and it stays on all day. I was hanging out in the seventh level of hell this morning (the F train in New York during the morning commute in the middle of summer) and it was so hot my lip sweat game was strong. But so was my eyeliner, unaffected by the blistering heat or the tears falling down my eyes. Because of its simplicity, results, and longevity, I’d confidently recommend this liner to anyone — as long as you’re up for getting your own (I’m not sharing)." —Mallory Mower

    33. And lastly, a tube of Dream Fresh BB Cream will even out your skin tone without making you feel like you've slathered on a ton of makeup. That no-effort look will really work for you!

"Dream Fresh BB Cream comes in handy — it's a lightweight, sheer formula that evens out your skin tone without the cakey-ness of a traditional foundation. Even better, it has a whopping SPF 30, which means you can skip a step in your morning routine! When I applied it on my face with my dependable Beauty Blender, I was actually shocked (and satisfied) at how bright and luminous it made my skin without being oily or shiny. You don't even have to apply it with a brush or sponge; it actually spreads amazingly with your fingers. It's the epitome of 'do your makeup and go'! It's also super buildable, which means if one coat isn't to your fancy, you can add more for the drama of it all. I was actually sweating up a storm while wearing this, but I didn't feel like the Wicked Witch of the West while I was out in the heat since the formula feels like fucking air. I don't know how they did that, but I'm definitely not complaining. Unfortunately, though, it only comes in four shades and that sucks because darker skinned babes can't get in on the action, but I'm hoping they expand their range soon — this stuff is MAGIC." —Ignacia Fulcher
