People Are So Touched By This Video About A Boy Who Can't Afford His Lunch

A Norwegian ad has gone incredibly viral this week, being shared more than three million times in the span of five days.

The video was made by a creative team called Kitchen Leo Burnett for the Norwegian government to encourage people to foster children, and was first posted to The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs Facebook page, where it gained more than four million views.

Another Facebook page, Everything About Silence, then re-uploaded the video last Friday. That version has since been viewed more than 121 million times.

"We love the fact that the film resonates with so many people across the world," a spokesperson for The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs told BuzzFeed News.

"Sometimes small things can make a big difference. We hope this film can trigger people to reach out to children who need their help."
