You Should Bump These 36 Lil Baby Songs Before Watching "Untrapped: The Story Of Lil Baby"

Lil Baby is the hottest rapper in the game.

    LIL BABY PERFORMING

    1. "Freestyle"

    View this video on YouTube

    UMG / Via youtube.com

"Freestyle" is an incredible performance that no rapper, not even Lil Baby, can recreate again. This is a 1 of 1 song and will go down in history alongside Meek Mill's "Dreams and Nightmares" as the best no-hook rap songs ever.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "Marlo my dawg that's fo' sho' / We won't fall out about shit / Specially not 'bout no b*tch"

    2. "Emotionally Scarred"

JUMPING UP ON STAGES, I GET TWO HUNDRED AN OCCASION.

Look, this Baby's best song. I'm sorry! One of my favorite moments was when Baby went on live and gave us the "200 an occasion" meme while listening to this song.

This song cemented Lil Baby as a superstar in the game to me, showing off his incredible flow while he spit bars about being from humble beginnings. Truly a star.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I never call myself a GOAT / I leave that love to the people," or, "My niece just asked me were my diamonds real / I said, "Of course"

    3. "Every Chance That I Get" by DJ Khaled

Every time I hear this song, I think of this video.

Lil Baby went wild on this verse. This man's flow is impeccable, and even though this is Khaled's song, I had to add this on here. With the Tay Keith beat and DJ Khaled boosting him up, Baby shows the world that he lyrically can go with the best of the best. Play this verse RIGHT NOW.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "We the ones who got the numbers, who put the city on / It's the middle of the summer, I got a hoodie on"

    4. "Yes Indeed"

Fam, this was the first Baby and Drizzy collab and their best.

Drake's flow on this song didn't get the credit it deserved back in 2018, as it inspired quite a few rappers to take a bite off it for the years to come.

On top of a great Drake performance, Baby came through and gave us one of his best verses ever and outshined "The Boy." I need them to make more collabs like this and less like "Staying Alive."

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "Cartier glasses, I won't even peek at you / Yellow Ferrari like Pikachu"

    5. "All In"

"All In" is one of those motivational songs that I play before getting ready to go into the 9–5.

"My mama been told me don't give no poor performance" to start the song is enough serotonin to make me stop pressing the snooze on my 7 a.m. alarm.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I'm talkin' 'bout spare time in New York / I buy floor seats to watch the Knicks. / And I don't even know no players"

    6. "Grace"

Baby and Dugg is a duo that never fails to disappoint. The song was made three days after 42 Dugg was released from jail.

This song for some reason makes me think of a late-night cruise in the city. The laid-back demeanor of the song and the way both artists blended their lyrics with each other like water make it a favorite of mine from both artists.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "Know you see that they been tryna be me lately / I'm a heavy hitter like Gervonta Davis"

    7. "We Paid"

    UMG / Via youtube.com

Might as well give you another Baby x Dugg collab to listen to.

"We Paid" is actually a perfect song. I love me a good "flaunt my wealth" track, and that's actually what this is — both rappers talking their mess and telling the world how rich they are.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "You shouldn't play with that boy / He is not one of them"

    8. "To the Top"

This chune is a hall of famer in Baby's disco.

This song was one that had to grow on me as I continued to listen to "Too Hard" but is one of those that you can feel Baby's hunger early on.

I love how Baby is one of the handful of rappers that I never questioned if he lives his raps.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "Straight from the 'jects to a jet / We been gettin' real fly / Free G5, on a G5 / Balmain denim, no Levi's"

    9. "Drip Too Hard"

    UMG / Via youtube.com

This song is Grammy nominated for a reason. Out of all of Lil Baby's collaborators, his most famous duo partner is Gunna.

"Drip Too Hard" is an incredible song that will never get old. The track is simply about how Baby doesn't care how hard the grind is, as long as he gets his money, and Gunna comes on his track and doubles down on the same sentiments.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "Every other night, another dollar getting made / Every other night started with a good day" —Gunna

    10. "Southside"

    UMG / Via youtube.com

"Southside" is the debut single on Baby's debut album, and it's a great song to start the tenure of Baby. It's crazy to see his growth from this song to some of his more recent tracks.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I'm sellin' c*ke / For real I put the D in dope, for real / St. Laurent on my coat, for real"

    11. "Pure Cocaine"

    UMG / Via youtube.com

"Pure Cocaine" is a song that I'm upset no Christmas carolers have gone outside and recorded themselves singing to this song.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "New G Wagon, no key / This a push start / I can hit the gas / Make it disappear"

    12. "Life Goes On"

    UMG / Via youtube.com

The Lil Baby songs I have put on here so far haven't shown his range when it comes to the ladies, and this song is exactly him talking that talk just for them. This track is catchy with a nasty bass line!

Kasim's Favorite Bar:  "Had to fix all my teeth / I went porcelain (porcelain). /          Put the town on my back / I'm a horseman (horseman)."

    13. "Wants and Needs" by Drake

    UMG / Via youtube.com

If I was Drake, IDK if I would have tolerated Baby going crazy on my song like this. This is one of the best rap feature verses of the 2020s so far. Drake heard Baby's rap verse and started singing on it. That's telling.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: “This shit gettin' deeper and deeper, I dig it. / My shovel won’t bend, I was broke, had to fix it.”

    14. "Close Friends"

    UMG / Via youtube.com

Lil Baby and Gunna again don't miss.

This song is the slow jam that you play when you just broke up with your girl or dude and want to stay in your feels. "Close Friends" will not get old.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: “Take you back, if I was you and I did what you did / I probably would, I probably wouldn’t"

    15. "In a Minute"

Baby in his introspective bag talking about how he was onstage with Billie Ellish is something I didn't know I needed.

This song made Lil Baby the youngest artist to accumulate 100 entries on the Hot 100.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I'm just tryna ball and live, hundred mill', I'm calling dibs / I'm the boss, pay all the bills, I'm the golden child for real."

    16. "Baby"

Lil Baby and DaBaby complemented each other amazingly with a cool music video referencing Scarface to match. Lil Baby destroyed the melodic parts of this song while DaBaby's verse is incredible.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I make it look easy, but this sh*t really a process / I'm really a millionaire, still in the projects."

    17. "Sum 2 Prove"

    UMG / Via youtube.com

As a hip-hop fan, braggadocious tracks are my favorite sub-genre of rap songs, and this is Baby's best song doing just that. He is talking that cash money in a way only he can.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "Livin' like we in a race / I might come in first and second but I won't never be last."

    18. "Never Needed No Help"

If you're experiencing some type of pain and needed a song to get you ambitious again, this is the song. When Baby is talking his talk like this, how can you not label him one of the best rappers in the world?

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "My vision was blurry and now I see clear / You wouldn't believe what I made in a year."

    19. "Woah"

    UMG / Via youtube.com

"Woah" is a fun song that I feel like every elementary school kid loves. This song is just a jam to dance to and not overthink the lyrics — just listen to the wonderful flow and enjoy.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I can't even lie, you ain't my type / You ain't even all that fine in person."

    20. "Global"

This song lifts my spirits, as this song is Baby being a top-tier talent, talking about the grind and overcoming.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I put my all into this shit / I worked so hard to get my wrist / It broke my heart, but I didn't quit / I had to ball with no assist."

    21. "The Bigger Picture"

    UMG / Via youtube.com

This might be the most important song Lil Baby has ever done. Lil Baby created this song during the protests for the death of George Floyd and other Black people wrongly killed in 2020. This song is a masterpiece and raised awareness in a way every single person who listened to it can relate to.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: “Every color person ain’t dumb, and every white person ain’t racist / I be judging by the mind and heart; I’m not really into faces.”

    22. "Girls Wants Girls" (with Drake)

This song is simply a vibe.

    Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I don't know, I might come, I might go, I don't know." —Drake

    23. "Right On"

This song dropped four months ago and is slowly rising up his discography. Baby's catalog's getting crazy, and this song is Baby doing his "making it out the hood" talk at his finest.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "My city stand behind me, that's why I love this shit / Buildin' up for my kids' kids' kids, I ain't gon' never quit / Investin' my money in all type of shit, ownership"

    24. "On Me"

This was a jam so many ladies loved, especially the remix.

There was not a single club that didn't play this song in 2021. The song was an anthem, and Baby delivered a rap song that ladies recited word for word.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "Put six figures in your business, I do real sh*t / I drop cash at the dealership; they'll mail you a pink slip"

    25. "Never Recover"

This Tay Keith beat is simply hard. Drake doing what GOATs do, and Lil Baby went off. This song was the second time Drake hopped on a song with Baby.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "Bad vibes at my show like I'm Usher / If she tell me 'no' once, I won't even touch it"

    26. "All of a Sudden" (with Moneybagg Yo)

    UMG / Via youtube.com

Moneybagg Yo, from Memphis, is a rapper that doesn't get the credit he deserves. He's charismatic, and this collab with Baby shows why so many people ride for both rappers. This is one of the first hits for both artists.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "If you knew better, baby you'd do better / I got plenty hoes, call me Hugh Hefner"

    27. "Ready"

Lil Baby and Gunna on a daunting Metro Boomin beat give me the chills. This song is a good track that contains three of the biggest Atlanta heavyweights.

Also, my favorite bar from this song inspired one of the biggest TikTok trends of the past year.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "Big body Benz, remember, I used to be dusty."

    28. "Hats Off" (with Lil Durk & Travis Scott)

    UMG / Via youtube.com

"Hats Off" is the standout track from the 2021 Duo album The Voice of the Heroes. Lil Baby gave us one of the best verses of 2021 by simply displaying raw rapping ability and providing one of my favorite Baby hooks.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I got h*rny, almost f*cked on a fan / I had to think about it, I can't end up on Shade Room"

    29. "My Dawg"

    View this video on YouTube

    UMG / Via youtube.com

This should be one of the first Baby songs you listen to as "My Dawg" is his breakout single. This song was a street anthem in 2017 and was very infectious on the culture. Everyone can relate to calling one of their closest homies "my dawg."

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "As soon as I get there, walk in / I'mma put her in a full nelson / I'm on my way, I'm goin' fast / I'm comin' home to get you"

    30. "Narcs"

    UMG / Via youtube.com

"Narcs" is one of the earliest songs on this list of Lil Baby's, and is a song that put a lot of people "on" to him early on. The song details how Baby's opps were trying to keep tabs on him early in his career.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "He on the grind and I'll see you later / I'm tryna grind, go and get this paper"

    31. "Heatin Up"

Again...if you have never listened to a Baby and Gunna collab, you'll never be disappointed. This song flaunts the materialistic things that come with Baby and Gunna's lifestyle.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "Treat these hoes like a tire / I keep a spare" —Gunna

    32. "Catch the Sun"

This chune is part of Queen & Slim: The Soundtrack, which fits perfectly with the movie. This song is a heartwarming song about the intention to give his main chick the ring, and one of my favorites of Baby.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "If we take off now, we can catch the sun / Maybe watch it set, have s*x, get some rest"

    33. "Low Down"

When we first heard this snippet in the pandemic, I thought this would be a part of the reported Lamborghini Boys mixtape. This song shows the type of situations Baby is now in due to him being in a new economic class.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "This shit done got serious, them millions come plural, I'm living by morals / We swipe 'em, ain't keepin', no Dora Explorer"

    34. "Dreams 2 Reality"

This song details how Baby is upset that despite him going to greater heights, the people around him are not cheering on the fact that he is succeeding.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I was so blind, I just couldn't see the hate / Forgave all them n*ggas, I'm still Ray"

    35. "U-Digg"

This is Baby's latest single as 42 Dugg and Veese provided great feature verses, and Baby directed the music video himself. This is his fourth single this year, and hopefully we get the album soon.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: “Got a white girl like Mary Jane, tryna swing in like Peter Parker / Can’t blame him, that’s my son, he just doin’ the sh*t I taught him”

    36. "2040" (with Lil Durk)

The Voice of the Heroes was a great collaboration album from two of the hottest in the game. "2040" is one of the standout tracks from the album and showcases both artists doing what they do best.

Kasim's Favorite Bar: "I feel better with no IG, but I'm too big of influence / And live your life, don't try to make someone else have that shit might ruin you"
