Elmo Teamed Up With The Surgeon General To Encourage Kids To Get Vaccinated

And it's stinkin' cute.

In a new video from the Daily Dot, Elmo has a few questions about why he needs a shot.

The news outlet teamed up with Sesame Street and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to make a PSA for kids (and adults) who maybe don't understand the hubbub about vaccines.

Surgeon General Vivek Murthy stops by Elmo's exam and tells him why protecting himself is so important.

Elmo hasn't heard of antibodies, but as Murthy puts it, they're superheroes that give your body information to help fight illnesses.

Elmo even takes the shot like a champion (with a little "Shake It Off" to help).
