Tools needed, screwdriver, hammer, electric drill, spackle knife. Kitchen, at least two full sets of dishes and glasses. That is 2 knives, forks, spoons, plates, bowls, glasses. Dollar store is a great place for this. Big pot or Dutch oven, small pot, big fry pan and small fry pan, casserole dish, water pitcher, chef knife, bread knife, serving spoons, meat fork, food containers. Bathroom, two bath towels, two hand towels, two face cloths, soap dispenser, shower puffs (buy in bulk & replace every 3mos). Bedroom, comforter, two sets of sheets, and be prepared to replace pillows once every year, and mattress every 15 years. Get good laundry baskets, as you probably won’t have in suite laundry. Have at least one good high velocity fan. AC is expensive. Extras, I love my crockpot and my Kitchen Aide mixer. A hand mixer is really a must. If you like smoothies and or cocktails, a decent blender will save you a bundle. I started collecting stuff in my teens, so I collected high quality stuff. You can get by with a lot less. But don’t skimp on the quality of your mattress or pillows. Lost sleep is nothing to laugh at.
