21 Times Synchronized Swimming Felt More Like A Really Incredible Fashion Show

Those swimsuits. I MUST have them.

1. Synchronized swimming is the catwalk of the Olympics.

2. You've never seen style on this level before.

3. Nothing is common. Everything is over the top.

4. And honestly? It often feels a lot of these suits are designed with a bit of a sense of humor.

5. Each bathing suit is a beautiful work of art, designed down to the very last detail.

6. Take a close look at this suit. Seems like it's just abstract colors and shapes right? Nope! They went ahead and snuck a face in there too.

7. Here we see a preview of the 2017 Hakuna Matata collection.

8. Believe it or not, these suits were not designed by Karl Lagerfeld.

9. And these ones are not from John Galliano's studio.

10. But they're so beautiful, I can see how you might have thought that they were.

11. Of course, any outfit from those high-end designers could never hold up to the amount of ~posing~ these synchronized swimmers do.

12. Sequins on bathing suits are not easy to pull off, but take a look... this is how you do it.

13. And neon... neon is even more difficult to get right. Not a problem for synchronized swimmers.

14. Ugh. I need one of these for my next trip to the beach.

15. Look at these two, shimmering like modern-day sirens.

16. This is the closest you can get to actually wearing fireworks.

17. Just take a moment to appreciate this outfit inspired by ancient Egypt.

18. And there are the more simple designs that look like they could almost be couture.

19. Botticelli's Primavera has got nothing on these outfits.

20. And don't even get me started on these beautiful suits, which look like they could be costumes from Swan Lake.

21. WORK IT, GIRLS!
