21 Toys You Had If You Were A True '90s Girl

You know you asked Santa for ALL of them.

    1. Polly Pockets

From the big ones with the the castles to the little Pollies living in rings. The downside was always losing those little pieces, because once they were gone, they were IMPOSSIBLE to find.

    2. Skydancers

How could you forget these little fairies? You'd put them on a base and send them spinning into the air by pulling a string. They could also be weaponized by aiming them at your little brother.

    3. Troll Dolls

In every possible size and every different hair color.

    4. Furbies

You must have asked Santa for one when they came out. Flash forward a couple of months: you put your Furby away because its voice and its huge, devilish eyes would keep you from getting to sleep each night.

    5. Kitty Surprise

How was a cat you could pull kittens out of a good idea for a kid's toy? I guess it did do a good job of explaining ~where babies come from~ so parents didn't have to. There was also a puppy version.

    6. Barbies

Especially when they still had those 90's hairstyles...

    7. And the furniture set, of course

The house, the bed, the kitchen and some lucky kids even had the pop-up camper.

    8. And that Barbie head you could style and put make-up on

It was just a huge bust whose hair you could braid, tie in pony-tails or do whatever you wanted with. Depending on how old you were when you had her, she might have even ended up totally bald.

    9. My Little Ponies

Some came with little friends, others with castles, and some even smelled good.

    10. The Tamagotchi

Having one of these back then was like having the latest iPhone now. In hindsight, it taught us a lot about responsibility and what happens when you don't feed your pet (or clean up its poop). Our parents tricked us.

    11. Krystal Princess Dolls

They had nothing going for them other than being princesses and living in a plastic globe. But girl did we collect them.

    12. The Magic Hair Color Streak Barbie

    Mattel / Via

Who knows how it worked, but you could magically dye your Barbie's hair. Our fascination with these dolls perfectly explains a lot of today's hairstyle trends.

    13. Doodle Bear

The Holy Grail for creative girls, you could write and draw ALL OVER it. It was also every mom's dream since you could just toss it in the washing machine and it came out clean and doodle free.

    14. The Electronic Dream Phone

It worked like this: you dialed a number and a boy answered who supposedly gave you clues to find your secret admirer. Then you'd spend hours on end trying to find out who he was. Thrilling.

    15. StarCastles

And you could open up the castles using these little keys you wore on a necklace. Too charming.

    16. Glitter Tubes

Sometimes you could blow bubbles from them, sometimes you couldn't. It was always a toss-up, and you never knew which kind you had until you got it. But they were always sold outside concerts and events.

    17. Rainbow Slinkies

This was a must-buy every time you went to an amusement park. You'd play with it for two minutes before it tangled up and you forgot about it forever.

    18. The Easy-Bake Oven

Of course, nothing ever turned out like it looked in the pictures.

    19. Littlest Pet Shop

You could build yourself an entire little pet shop if you collected them all. Better yet, some of them even came with even tinier puppies.

    20. Cabbage Patch Kids

You were either a Cabbage Patch girl or you were into...

    21. My Little Baby Born

Look at this horrible little creature.
