20 Amazing, Underrated Disney Movies That People Don't Talk About Enough

1. Bambi (1942)

This is a timeless classic that sadly gets overlooked. In fact, the majority of this generation probably doesn't even know who he is. It hurts my heart!

2. 101 Dalmatians (1961)

This classic always gets thrown aside with all of the remakes and different versions. The animated version, however, will always be the best! With the classic love story and too many puppies to keep track of, you can't go wrong!

3. The Sword in the Stone (1963)

There's been many different versions of this story and all are great, but this classic really brought me into the fantasy of it all. It will always remain close to my heart.

4. The Jungle Book (1967)

"Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities..." Come on, you know the words, don't be afraid to shout them out! The live-action version was great, but we all have to admit the classic, animated version is the real deal.

5. Robin Hood (1973)

Another great movie with a bunch of different versions of the story, but this is a childhood favorite that doesn't get enough credit.

Raise your hand if you've seen this classic... yeah not many, huh? This great film gets overlooked and most people haven't even heard of it!

7. The Fox and the Hound (1981)

"I'm a hound dog!" They are so freakin' cute, I just can't stand it! Okay, I'm sitting down now and I'm still in cuteness shock. If you haven't seen this heartbreaking, emotional, amazing movie, then you should. Go ahead, I'll wait here.

8. The Black Cauldron (1985)

Here's another one not many have heard of, but it's a great adventure story. If you like stories like The Sword in the Stone then you'll love this one!

9. The Great Mouse Detective (1986)

This was one of the very first books I read! I know (nerd alert!), but Professor Ratigan and his adventures are timeless. Plus, who doesn't love a good mystery?

10. The Brave Little Toaster (1987)

This. Movie. Was. The. Bomb! If you didn't watch this movie growing up, then I think something huge was missing from your childhood. But don't worry, it's not too late, you can still watch it and fill the void for your 10-year-old self.

11. Oliver & Company (1988)

Another cuteness overload!! This was one of my favorites growing up. You can never go wrong with a scrappy adorable dog and an even more adorable kitten who are friends for life!

Yeeeessss! Pocahontas is an overlooked Princess who doesn't get the respect she deserves. She stands up for her people and nature around us... we all need to be a little more like Pocahontas these days.

13. A Goofy Movie (1995)

I love all of the Goofy Movies, but this was the OG, and you can never go wrong with the original! I don't think we get enough of Max... don't mind me while I go over here and let my heart break.

14. The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996)

The music alone in this film is bound to blow the socks right off your feet (if you're wearing socks, that is. If not maybe your hat? Either way prepare to be blown away!). You'll be dancing, singing, and laughing, you can't go wrong with this classic!

15. Tarzan (1999)

Tarzan is yet another one that's been remade over and over again, however, this animated take will always be my favorite! The soundtrack is also amazing, but I'm sure you already knew that. 

16. The Emperor's New Groove (2000)

Kuzco is who I got most of my sass from and I love every second if it... my parents not so much. If you haven't seen this hilarious, feel-good movie, then I'm not sure what you're waiting for!

17. The Brother Bear (2003)

This was my childhood right here! I watched this movie over and over again until I knew every quote. It needs to be seen by every child. There I said my piece, now I'm going to go watch it for the umpteenth time.

19. Meet the Robinsons (2007)

This is one of the best early '00s Disney movies there is! It gets overlooked and brushed under the rug, but it will always be one of the best with an amazing lesson, "Keep moving forward".

20. Lastly, Bolt (2008)

It's hard to believe that this movie came out over 10 years ago! Sadly, it's already been forgotten by most, but that doesn't make it any less amazingly cute!
