One year I dressed as a regular old bee and went to my brothers Halloween party. Most of the people there were 5 to 10 years older than me. A lot of the people there assumed I was the Bee Girl from Blind Melon’s “No Rain” video. Nope, just a chubby, glasses-wearing normal bee.

Wedding favors. People either don’t even take them, take them and then throw them away at home or stick them in a closet somewhere and donate to Goodwill the next time they clean out their closet. The only favors I’ve ever used again are koozies.

On The Simpsons “Lisa’s First Word” when it flashes back to when Lisa was born and Bart was jealous of all the attention and almost ran away. Then Lisa said her first word “Bart.” Even though it’s a cartoon it made me weirdly emotional.
