@creepitreal in time all of the symptoms went away but it was gradual and in stages. I primarily had facial paralysis and pain on one side of my face/head with complete loss of taste for a while. The taste was the last to come back.

I’ve had Bell’s palsy. It happened suddenly while I was eating alone in a restaurant. I was terrified I was having a stroke. It went away after a few weeks but it took months for my sense of taste to come back. Was not funny or fun.
