Here's what "retina" really means. Designer Lukas Mathis put 15 gadget screens under a microscope, including the new iPad's.

The full set is here, including the PSP and PS Vita, the 3DS, and the Kindle Fire — the most interesting one by far is the E Ink Kindle's. Big blotchy pixels = nice reading experience, apparently. Pixels arrangements matter!
