Tommy Edison’s Instagram photos fit right in on the service: some are carefully framed, others are tilted; some are filtered, some are pure; some are taken with a clear purpose, others seem to have been taken by accident; some are bad, some are beautiful.
The difference is that Edison is blind. Using the iPhone’s deeply integrated accessibility features and voice prompts, he’s able to take photos, apply filters, and share them online. The results are pretty impressive:
- Italy is today observing a national day of mourning for the victims of Wednesday's earthquake. The death toll has climbed to 284.
- Donald Trump's campaign chief Stephen Bannon said "he doesn't like Jews," according to his ex-wife.
- Federal health officials have called for nationwide testing of all blood donations for the Zika virus.
