If you avoided the Jeffrey Dahmer documentary and other true crime content, I need the deets.
Whether it's the latest Netflix show on serial killers like Jeffrey Dahmer or Ted Bundy, or it's a popular podcast or youtube account dedicated to recounting the chilling events of past crimes...or maybe it's an entire book dedicated to school shootings (like Columbine), it's safe to say, there is a LOT of accessible content about true crime.
I personally engage with a fair bit of true crime content because as horrifying as it is, it is a part of the world we live in, so I can't help but want to know more than the brief news clips we may get shown about something.
Understandably, some people may actively avoid engaging in true crime stories for an array of reasons! It may be that the content is too scary or sad, or you may feel that in some cases, consuming the true crime shows or podcasts is contributing to a criminal's "fame."
Tell me in the comments your reasons for not consuming true crime content and you could be featured in a BuzzFeed Community post! Get sharing!
