    The bikini was designed by Robyn Graves and Michelle Lytle, who were fed up with the idea that women couldn't bare their boobs at the beach.

    "Why can’t girls be topless? If you really think about it, what’s the difference between a man’s nipples and a woman’s? Is it really just the extra breast tissue? Is it the fact that women’s nipples are paired with a vagina?" they write on their website. "Is it the presence of a real and true female nipple bare to the world that is so offensive, that is so horrid that it must be kept covered?

    Right now, the top comes in only one skin tone, but its makers are developing additional colors over the next couple of months.

    Though not directly affiliated, the Tata Top was in part inspired by the #FreeTheNipple movement, which advocates for the desexualization of women's breasts.
