Whether you agree or disagree with Australia’s strict approach to COVID-19, there’s no denying that we have enjoyed a certain degree of "success" when compared to much of the world.
There are countless TikToks, tweets, Insta-brags and a general air of smugness from Aussies sharing a glimpse at what life looks like where "COVID isn't a thing".
But while we were once applauded and even envied for our strict, no-nonsense policies, now the Australian government is increasingly being criticised for their perceived failings.
One of the most hotly-debated topics remains Australia's seemingly endless travel ban — that is, the hard border closure that prevents any permanent resident or citizen from leaving the country.
For a lot of Aussies, this closure has simply meant the end of international holidays and the mourning of thrice-annual trips to drink Bintangs in Bali. But for many more, it has signalled a painful, physical severing from loved ones living abroad — and one that has no end-date in sight.
So, we want to know: What does Australia's travel ban mean to you?
