But Snapchat user John Leafey has decided to make the bizarre cultural phenomenon a bit more fun.
After he snaps his junk, he creatively illustrates cartoon characters and other pop culture references over it on Snapchat, along with various penis puns.
First, it was just a joke among the Philadelphia resident and his friends.
His work ranges from being nostalgic...
...to just very impressively intricate.
But either way, you'll probably recognize most of the characters.
In any case, it's definitely more entertaining than an actual penis picture.
