Katy Perry And UNICEF Raise HIV Awareness With This Heartwarming New Video

Among the victims of Flight MH17 were delegates headed to the International AIDS Conference in Melbourne. The video was screened at the conference’s candlelight vigil to honor the lives lost in the tragedy.

2. The video brings together a group of young people, both HIV positive and negative, to both raise awareness and help fight discrimination.

3. One-third (33%) of new HIV infections in 2013 were among young people (15-24 years).

4. About 700 children under 15 were newly infected with HIV a day in 2013.

5. 19 million of the 35 million people living with HIV today do not know that they have the virus.
