Climb up to the 8th floor of Pullman Hotel located downtown. Rooftop offers a 360° view on Montpellier. You’ll enjoy the pool and deliciously cooked meals on the terrace.
4. Place de la Comédie

Just hang out and walk around Place de la Comédie to smell the Mediterranean atmosphere. The old city is a great labyrinth of tight streets (forbidden to cars) and you’ll love feeling the peaceful vibes all around. It’s also a good way to find out about the history of Montpellier and, more globally, learn about the old « langue d’Oc », which was the spoken language in the south of France until the Renaissance.
5. Enjoy the sea & sunbathing on the beach
villeneuvelesmaguelone.fr
Montpellier is just 15 minutes away from Mediterranean sea ! You can’t miss these long stripes of sand located at the south. For example, we recommend you going to Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, which combines very nice beaches, front sea restaurants (« Paillottes » in French) with delicious fish and oysters as well as great historic monuments. If you like kite surf, you’ll be even happier as it’s a real nice spot to do so. Good news, you can go there in bus or book a taxi/Uber for less than 20€. Trust us, it’s worth it !
