    Man Climbs Submerged New Jersey Roller Coaster, Raises American Flag

    And gets apprehended by police. In Seaside Heights, where the coaster was swept to sea during Superstorm Sandy.

    This is the Seaside Heights roller coaster. It's been underwater since Sandy made landfall in October.

    On Tuesday, 38-year-old Christopher Angelo climbed it and planted a flag.

    The AP reports he was handcuffed and escorted to a police car on the beach.

    Angelo — described by his mom as a daredevil — wanted to raise awareness for shore recovery, he told News 12-New Jersey.
