A train carrying chemical tanks collided with a regional transport bus shortly after 8 a.m. Friday in Evans City, Pennsylvania, according to CBS Pittsburgh. It’s believed there are at least five critically injured patients among the victims.
Emergency dispatchers say those injured may have been special needs patients of various ages, and they were on a Butler Area Regional Transport bus…
The train reportedly hit the bus, spun it around, dragging the bus more than 15-feet.
It’s not clear yet what caused the accident, but it’s notable that there was heavy fog over the Pittsburgh area this morning and a lack of crossing guard at the intersection where the crash occurred.
