The new sneakers from Adidas and designer Jeremy Scott have caused some controversy lately, because... Well because they have ankle shackles. The shoes, titled Jeremy Scott x adidas Roundhouse Mid "Handcuffs," were previewed in January, but they didn't cause much of a stir until this past week when Adidas' Facebook page released a preview image with the quote "Got a sneaker game so hot you lock your kicks to your ankles?" That post has thousands of shares and comments featuring people arguing whether or not the shoes are racist.
What do you think? Are they racist? Are people overreacting? Let us know in the comments.
