Former NBA Star Is Accused Of Punching A Chinese Fan

Stephon Marbury, once a star in the NBA, is currently playing basketball for the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association. On Sunday night after a tough and controversial playoff loss to the Shanxi Brave Dragons, Marbury was accused of punching a fan following the game.

As the game wound down the Shanxi crowd threw bottles onto the court to slow down the Ducks' momentum.

The technique worked and the Ducks lost. After the game the players were surrounded by fans as they left arena. In the midst of this crowd one fan accused Stephon Marbury of assaulting him.

The Fan Accusing Marbury

Translation: "Because there were too many (Shanxi) fans, too crowded, when Marbury came out, the fans were careless so they squeezed around him. He (Marbury) had a water bottle in his hand and hit me square in the head, knocked me to the ground and kicked me in the face."
