We've been down this road before, but here are 12 more celebrities who have killed people. Shocking.
In June of 2001, a 9-year-old boy was crossing the street, without the help of the crosswalk. The cars in front of Gayheart had stopped to allow the boy to cross, but Gayheart, who was talking on a cellphone, swerved around them and, not seeing the boy, hit him. She pleaded no contest to vehicular manslaughter.
Spector met an actress named Lana Clarkson at The House Of Blues where she worked. They went back to Spector's house and were inside for an hour when Spector's driver heard a gunshot. Later Spector would tell that same driver "I think I shot her." Clarkson was shot in the mouth at close range. Phil Spector was eventually convicted and is currently in prison.
Long before he was famous, Charles S. Dutton was convicted of stabbing someone to death in a street fight.
The '80s rocker killed his passenger Nicholas Dingley (of the band Hanoi Rocks) while driving with a BAC of more than twice the legal limit.
The famed director hit and killed a female pedestrian in Los Angeles. No charges were filed.
Stallworth killed a pedestrian while driving drunk. He was only given 30 days in jail, two years of house arrest and 8 years probation, because the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.
I mean the guy's name isn't "C-Reasonable Bar Fight." At a club in Louisiana, "C-Murder" (who is Master P's brother) beat up and then shot a 16-year-old kid. He was convicted of second degree murder. The reason for the attack is unknown.
This one is tricky... Many hold Landis responsible for the death of Vic Morrow and two child extras who died when a helicopter lost control and crashed on the set of The Twilight Zone. Many on the set claim that Landis was warned that the proximity of the helicopter to explosions was a problem and simply didn't listen. Though he was acquitted of the criminal charges that were brought against him, he settled with the victims' families for large sums of money and was punished for breaking child labor laws.
The blues singer Lead Belly was in and out of jail many times, but the most notable of these was when he killed Will Stafford (a relative of his) over a woman.
The defensive star had a BAC of over twice the legal limit when his car hit another killing its driver. He was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and received four years probation and 1,000 hours of community service.
Carruth had a friend of his shoot and kill his then girlfriend, who was pregnant with his child. Carruth was at the scene of the crime and fled as soon as shots fired. He was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and is currently serving a jail sentence of 18 to 24 years. Doctors saved the child.
Obviously Booth is famous for his assassination of Abraham Lincoln, but he was also a famous actor before he was an infamous traitor. In fact the booth's were a prominent theatrical family and John's brother was considered by many to be the finest actor of their time.
