Melissa McCarthy And Octavia Spencer Talking About Their Superhero Movie "Thunder Force" Is My New Favorite Thing
"If you really want to get something done, do you go to the 20-year-old or do you go to a 45-year-old woman who's seen some stuff?"
And it turns out filming superhero movies is a lot of fun — at least, according to McCarthy. She told Daily Pop she “loved training for stunts” in the movie, especially if she had to use a wire or a harness to pull off the trick.
"It was so stupidly fun," the actor shared. "When you get into that world [where] there're no limits, I'm like, 'Can I jump 12 feet?' It was like, 'You can jump 20.'"
McCarthy had the best reason for feeling confident while doing those moves, too: "Love a 20-year-old but, if you really want to get something done, do you go to the 20-year-old or do you go to a 45-year-old woman who's seen some stuff?" McCarthy said. "I'd go to that gal. She's gonna get it done."
In the film, McCarthy and Spencer play two middle-aged friends who become superheroes after one invents a formula that gives ordinary people superpowers.
