Pregnant Ellie Goulding Says She's "Excited To Be A Mother"

    Congratulations are in order for Ellie Goulding! The “Love Me Like You Do” singer revealed she’s expecting her first child with her husband, Caspar Jopling.

    "I'm excited to be a mother — but also I want to make sure that I continue to work," she told Vogue. "I can't wait to go back on tour. I've been in the studio most days, [and] I'm excited for the challenge. It will be a totally new experience."

    Goulding is 30 weeks along and she found out she was pregnant during a getaway she took around the time of her first wedding anniversary.

    “It was crazy,” Goulding recalled. “That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn't seem like it could be a reality."

    However, she said her pregnancy made her feel more “human” and “womanly” than ever before.

    “I have curves I've never had before. I'm enjoying it,” she said. “My husband's enjoying it.”

    The “Hate Me” singer is also dealing with the challenges of pregnancy. "The sickness and tiredness was nothing I'd ever experienced before," she said. "I feel like it's a taboo to talk about pregnancy as being challenging.”

    “It's not always serene and like you're not always glowing,” Goulding continued. “I'm not saying that every second of this pregnancy has been miserable. It's not always going to be easy. [But,] I have a newfound respect for any woman who has children."

    Even though she doesn’t particularly feel like she’s glowing, Goulding still looks as beautiful as ever!
