It's called Gynecomastia, and it literally means swelling of the breast tissue. It's thought to be caused by a hormonal imbalance in the body and is considered fairly common.

Men can experience Gynecomastia within a wide age range between puberty and adulthood.

When the breast tissue grows, some guys tend to feel tenderness and discomfort.

This condition is caused when testosterone levels aren't balanced with the estrogen levels.

Usually, this happens during a guy's natural hormonal changes.

But there are other factors, too. Some men who take medications to treat heart conditions, ulcers, or cancer could also see breast growth.

All in all, there are few physical complications as a result of having Gynecomastia.

This condition is usually temporary and often goes away naturally.

So, just chalk it up to one more thing males have to look out for when they hit adolescence!
