25 Reasons You Should Cut Spain From Your Travel Bucket List Right Now

Don't make the same mistake I did.

    1. The world is full of interesting and beautiful places. Spain is not one of them.

    2. In fact, I'd say it's probably the most boring, least charming place I've ever been.

    3. There's literally nothing to see...

    4. ...and absolutely nothing to do (besides take a siesta).

    5. Sure, there are lots of old buildings, but if you've seen one, you've seen 'em all.

    6. Trust me, if castles and palaces are your thing, you're better off going to France or Germany.

    7. Madrid is so frantic and crowded that you can barely move.

    8. And in Barcelona, La Sagrada Família isn't even finished yet!!!

    9. The fact that people wait in line to see THIS is beyond me.

    10. As for Valencia, it's basically a glorified beach town.

    11. Speaking of which, the beaches are overrun with tourists and not-at-all relaxing.

    12. The northern coastline, on the other hand, is jagged, rough, and kind of an eyesore if you ask me!

    13. The interior of the country doesn't have much to offer either.

    14. Like, imagine going all the way to Segovia just to see above-ground water pipes!!!

    15. "What about the food?" you say. Well, for one, "tapas" is just code word for tiny portions.

    16. And Spanish desserts look like doo-doo.

    17. Architecturally speaking, everything essentially looks the same.

    18. Except for this monstrosity of a museum in Bilbao. Yuck!

    19. Spanish people love to "dar un paseo," or go for a walk — but why would you ever want to in a place like this?

    20. It's just so dull and depressing!

    21. You call this a VIEW?!?!

    22. No offense, but Italy does the whole coastal town thing so much better.

    23. Photos of your trip would get like 4 likes on Instagram (embarrassing, tbh).

    24. I'm sorry to say it, but the sun has set on Spain.

    25. So cut it from your travel bucket list and go somewhere else instead.
