Forrest Gump is a classic. Not only is it a fantastic depiction of historical events through the perspective of Forrestâs narrative, but when you find out that Jenny is sick? Ugh. Killer. And then we watch her die and Forrest move on from her death with his son.
Seeking a Friend for the End of the World is absolutely heart-wrenching! You see Steve Carrell and Keira Knightleyâs characters fall in love and go through so much growth together, all while knowing in the back of your head that theyâre going to die at some point. Then Keira KnightleyâsâŠÂ
Monica Geller started out as a strong, sensible, smart character in Friends. Of course, every character has his or her trope that the show plays into (Ross is nuts about dinosaurs, Joeyâs a womanizer, etc), but Monicaâs whole âthing about stuff being cleanâ just got completely outâŠÂ
Mulan! I have watched it at least 3 times a year ever since I was nine or ten years old. Itâs empowering, got some kick-ass songs, and some of the funniest one-liners a Disney movie has ever had. I can easily quote it from beginning to end. I watch it every time Iâm feeling down toâŠÂ
I am 18 years old. But about two weeks ago I needed stamps. So I went to the post office to buy a boom of stamps, expecting to pay, like maybe $2 for 20. NO. Stamps at $10 for a book of 20! Not only did I buy stamps (a very adult thing to do), I also complained about the price ofâŠÂ
Roy from The Office. When I first watched the show, I was all about Jim and Pam and thought Roy was a total dick. Now, as Iâm rewatching it (for probably the 15th time), I realize that Roy really wasnât that bad. Aside from the whole punching-Jim-in-the-face thing, he just wantedâŠÂ
Oceanâs 8. If you havenât seen it, youâre missing out on some amazing wardrobe. The movie itself is not really that great, but damn those outfits are so amazing! My favorite was Cate Blanchettâs sparkly turquoise pantsuit. Iconic.
Clueless! Letâs face it, we all watch it for the â90s-ness of it (young Paul Rudd is also a bonus). Cherâs iconic yellow plaid skirt and jacket, all of Deeâs hats, and Murrayâs pants sagging down to the floor. Would I watch any other movie for outfits like this? As if!
