I listen to Tomorrow Will Be Kinder by the Secret Sisters because it literally just says over and over that tomorrow is going to be a better and brighter day. It calms me down so much, I've been listening to it for years.

I reread the Tamora Pierce books every year in either December or January. I get the itch to revisit the characters I've loved since I met them 16 years ago in elementary school, and I spend a few weeks immersed in my favorite fantasy world with my old friends.

I remember watching Titanic the same Christmas my grandfather got me a porcelain doll. The doll's skin was the same color as the dead people in the water at the end, and I live on an island, so I had nightmares for years about drowning and freezing to death in a flood.

When I was eight I ordered a different flavor and they served me mint chocolate chip and I asked my dad to return it but he thought that was what I ordered and he made me eat it and when I cried he finally let me explain why I was so upset.
