Find the best plus-size jeans for your body, style, and wallet at Lane Bryant, Target, Universal Standard, and 12 more fabulous, size-inclusive retailers — because a classic knows no size.
Universal Standard is a relative newcomer on the plus-size fashion scene, but it has gotten a lot of attention for its gorgeous wardrobe staples, including — ding ding ding — jeans! They have mostly classic, skinny-cut jeans in a variety of dark colors, but for me the standout is this freaking adorable pair of overalls (from Danielle Brooks' collaboration with the brand). One of the coolest features of the site is that you can see the clothes on a model wearing any size they carry.

Charlotte Russe has a good selection of trendy jeans (lots of skinnies, lots of artful rips, with a liberal sprinkling of embellishments) at reasonable prices. If you're looking for a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans that won't distress your wallet, this is your place.

Eloquii has a wide variety of colors and fits, so you're pretty much guaranteed to find a pair that suits your style and your denim needs. They have an especially great selection of slightly more formal-looking jeans (their best-selling Kady fit pants in particular), so if you're looking for a pair you can plausibly wear to work, give Eloquii a gander.

Torrid began as an offshoot of Hot Topic, so it makes sense that its styles seem to cater to a fairly young audience. That said, age is a construct! And Torrid has more than a dozen cuts of denim — bootcut, jegging, and boyfriend, to name a few — so even if you're old at heart, you'll be able to find something you love.

Nordstrom is one of the best places to find tons of plus-size jeans from a variety of brands, including NYDJ, Good American, Slink, and Lucky Brand, and their famously lenient return policy means you'll never be stuck with a pair you hate (even if you miss a 30-day window).

We've highlighted Walmart's plus-size options before, and the fact remains: It's worth a look if you don't want to spend a queen's ransom on clothing your bottom half. They carry a bunch of styles — including skinny, boyfriend, and jegging — from a bunch of brands, many for less than the price of a fancy sandwich!

Amazon can be sort of a nightmare when it comes to browsing, but if you can stomach a little digging, your reward will be some seriously good deals on a huge variety of brands (Gloria Vanderbilt and Melissa McCarthy Seven7 are particularly well represented), styles, and sizes.

There can't be a list of plus-size clothing stores without Lane Bryant. And when it comes to jeans, Lane Bryant's selection is legitimately great. Not only do they have a ton of styles, they also offer short, long, and petite sizes. Most of the jeans are in the $70–$90 range, but there seems to be a sale or promo code on the site more often than not, so keep an eye out.
Pricing: $25.98+
Sizing: 10–28; some styles available in short, long, and petite
Shipping and returns: $7.95 shipping, free in-store returns, $5.95 for returns by mail.
My personal feelings about its flagship Herald Square store aside, Macy's has a good selection of plus-size jeans on offer. I.N.C., the store's in-house brand, and Style & Co. have the most options, but they carry a plethora of other brands as well.
Pricing: $26.99+
Sizing: 12–28; some styles available in short, long, and petite
Shipping and returns: $10.95 shipping for orders under $99, free for orders over $99; free returns.
If I had to declare a winner in this post, Old Navy would definitely be in the running. But because everyone's a winner when it comes to great jeans, I'll just say that Old Navy has some *seriously* great jeans. They carry a lot of versatile styles — straight-leg, skinny, boyfriend — as well as some very fun colors (cinnamon cake red! succulent green!). I rest my case.
Pricing: $22+
Sizing: 16–30
Shipping and returns: $7 shipping for orders under $50, free for orders over $50; free returns.
Ashley Stewart's denim skews toward the embellished, so if you're looking for jeans that are a little flashy — think grommets, laces, and sequins aplenty, this is your spot. If trendy isn't your bag, they also have simpler options, and a wide range of sizes — including four different lengths.
Pricing: $36.50+
Sizing: 12–32; extra short–tall
Shipping and returns: $8.95 shipping for orders under $125, free for orders over $125; no reimbursement on shipping for returns.
If you're in the market for some ~premium denim~ with a cult following, AYR's Onelove jean is worth considering. It's high-waisted and made from a thick, stretchy denim, for when you want something more substantial than jeggings that will still let you kick, stretch, and kick.
Pricing: $195
Sizing: 14–22
Shipping and returns: Free shipping and returns.

ModCloth is one of the few stores on this list that offers most of its jeans in both straight and plus sizes. They don't have a ton of options, but they do have the vintage-inspired wide-leg market cornered 😍.
Pricing: $28.97+
Sizing: Up to 4XL (28–30) in some styles
Shipping and returns: $5.99 shipping for orders under $75, free for orders over $75; free returns.
Avenue is one of the largest plus-size retailers in the country, so it's only appropriate that they have a pretty great selection of jeans in a wide range of sizes and fits, including skinny, straight-leg, and bootcut. Some of the jeans have some minor distressing, but that's about as far as it goes in terms of embellishment, so if you like your denim straight up, this is a good place to look.
Pricing: $40+
Sizing: 14–32; average, tall, and petite lengths
Shipping and returns: $8.95 shipping for orders under $150, free for orders over $150; no reimbursement on shipping for returns.
