    Here Are The Stores That Are Actually Closed On Thanksgiving Day

    These retailers are observing the Thanksgiving holiday in lieu of extending Black Friday sales even earlier.

    This year, Kmart stores will open to the public at 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

    And they'll stay open for a grueling 40 hours straight.

    And while extended Black Friday shopping hours are becoming a trend, there are a growing number of retailers that are committed to giving their employees Thanksgiving Day off.

    The company's flagship Toys "R" Us stores will open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

    With the exception of REI, all these stores will reopen on Black Friday and all will be open online on Thanksgiving Day.

    CORRECTION

    Radioshack will remain open on Thanksgiving Day this year. An earlier version of this list included it after the store was closed on Thanksgiving in 2014.
