This is Majlinda Kelmendi of Kosovo, who just won her nation's first-ever Olympic medal. (Oh yeah, and she won the GOLD.)

Kosovo declared independence from Serbia eight years ago and was admitted into the International Olympic Committee just two years ago. The country has eight athletes participating in five different sports at this Olympics — Kosovo’s first.
