It's The Best Time Of Year In San Francisco

Bye bye, Burning Man attendees.

Posted on

It's the end of August, which means it's the best time of year in our fair city.

Not only is it getting warm again...

But it's time for Burning Man, which means hundreds of people will flee San Francisco for the Playa.

And no matter what you think about Burning Man...

It's hard to deny that the Bay Area is pretty great when all the Burners leave.

While everyone is partying in remote Nevada...

You'll actually be able to hear people in bars.

Dolores Park will be strikingly empty.

(Now is definitely the time to try to get into those Mission hotspots.)

The line at Tartine will probably look less like this.

Brunch is going to be slightly more tolerable, because you won't get hangry while waiting two hours for waffles.

BART and Muni will feel a little less claustrophobic.

And there might even be ACTUAL PARKING SPOTS.

If you want to hang out in a calmer Upper Haight, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE.

So enjoy the next few days, San Francisco!

Because soon (gasp!) you'll have to wait in a long line for your fancy ice cream again.
