Brace yourselves: You might NEVER be able to have Dunkin' Donuts again!
But don't worry, it's just a change in semantics. The brand is opening a new store location in Pasadena, California, that will be called simply "Dunkin'", according to the Associated Press.
THE DONUTS ARE SAFE, PEOPLE.
The reason for the change? The stores will still sell doughnuts, obviously, but want customers to think of Dunkin' as more of a destination for coffee.
A new era is upon us!!!
This wouldn't be the first name change for DD. The chain's original name when it opened in 1950 was Open Kettle.
People on Twitter, however, were largely opposed to the new name change.

Should Dunkin' Donuts change its name to *just* Dunkin'?
