Let's set the stage: Four years ago, our main characters Piper and Alfie enter this world. It was love at first sight and I brought them home with me (the second day after moving to a new city 🤷🏼♀️). I was *convinced* they didn't really shed because I never have any allergies around them as I do with other cats. We vacuum and brush them and never saw that much hair come out. Well, turns out that's because it was all deeply lodged into my carpet and I wouldn't find out about it until we discovered this nifty contraption, the Uproot Cleaner.
Unlike other pet hair removers, the Uproot Cleaner is ~infinitely~ reusable. There are no batteries to replace, sticky sheets to throw away, bags, or any other annoyances that you have to deal with. AKA, you'll never have to pay for replacements or additional components. You just swipe it over the surface, collect the hair, then throw the hair away. Plus, it gets the deeply embedded hairs, not just the top layer.
We personally got the bundle because we weren't sure which size would be best for us or which surfaces we would be cleaning. But if you know what you're up against, or don't have much surface area to cover, you can get the tools individually.
I like to use the Uproot Max on my carpets — that way I can cover the most area in the shortest time. You can pretty much get the hair out with one or two swipes of the area, but I like to do a few extra just to make sure I'm getting everything. Plus, this doesn't just get the trapped hair out, it helps get crumbs, cat nails, and other small particles the vacuum can miss.
The Uproot Pro is good for clothing or smaller, more awkward spaces on the carpet. This one would also be a good option to keep in your car if you travel with your pet often and find your car seats are getting a layer of fur that was not in fact part of the original design.
And I use the Uproot Mini for my pillow. I feel like it is the most effective at getting the hair off the material my pillow is made of. I just keep it on my bedside table and whenever I notice a lot of hair (which is pretty much daily) I'll grab this and do a quick clean-up. Doesn't take more than about a minute to get the whole pillow cleaned off.
