    1. A 24-piece cat toy assortment…I mean why would you get one toy when you could get 24? Plus, if your cats are anything like mine, you'll need to keep toys on a rotating schedule to prevent them from inevitably getting bored.

Promising review: "My kitten LOVED the toys and tunnel in this package. The tunnel pops up and stays open for hours of fun. The fishing rod toy is awesome. I was very please with the diversity of the toys, how well made everything was, AND it was so inexpensive!" —Mary

    2. Or a 20-pack of assorted dog toys if you have a dog household instead of a cat household. From rope toys to teething toys to training toys, your pup is going to be ~thrilled~ when you unload the box for them.

A reviewer's puppy surrounded by all the different toys
Another reviewer's puppy with the rainbow squishy toy in its mouth

Many of these toys are on the smaller size, so may be a better fit for puppies and small dogs!

Promising review: "You can't beat the price! The things I thought our 4-month-old puppy would like are not the ones she loves in this box. We unexpectedly re-homed a 1.5-year-old and he is making great use of the 'unloved' toys. It is a win-win-win (great price and two happy dogs)!!" —ShadowDog

Get it from Amazon for $23.99+ (available in three variations).

    3. pop-up doggie door you can use when you want and store when you don't. You don't have to commit to installing an ~official~ doggie door, but it will also prevent you from having to constantly get up and down to let your dog in or out whenever they demand.

    4. A cat donut tunnel that will have your kitty doing circles chasing toys, siblings, or even just their tail. Once they've tuckered themselves out enough they can curl up on the top of it for a cozy nap.

Ok, I was influenced (yet again). I recently order this for my kitties and I can say it is truly a hit. I was a little nervous when I first got it cause my cats would sniff it and run away, but after a little bit of warming up they started to explore the inside. Even my more skittish cat now likes to spend time in here which is honestly shocking. As you can see in the photo above, Alfie has really taken to spending time on top of the donut. He has actually claimed that as his official playing spot and when we break out his stick toy he assumes his position in there, I can only assume for better hunting angles 🤷🏼‍♀️. The only downside of this thing is I spend a lot of time wondering where my cats are only to realize they are probably shoved perfectly in the back of the donut to the point where I literally cannot see them. But, other than that I can say I would highly recommend this. They love it as a place to burrow for peace and quiet or during their more rambunctious times as a place to go in and chase the toy of the day.

Promising review: "My cats usually like the boxes better than what’s in it but not this time! They LOVE this thing! The only bad thing is I’m going to have to get another one because they are fighting over it! My large cats fit just fine inside it and they love to chase each other in circles. Great invention!!" —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $49.99+ (available in two sizes and two colors).

    5. A hamster accessory kit so you can create a tiny kingdom that seems like a whole new world to your little buddy. Your hamster won't even know what to do with itself when it sees alllll this new space to explore.

A reviewer's hamster cage with the multi-colored accessories attached to it

This set includes loop-the-loop, outhouse, snap-on comfort wheel, fun-nel tubes, and rings

Promising review: "The mice love this critter trail activity set. It increases their area to move around and they love the wheel. They're exercising on the wheel all the time! It's a great addition to the critter trail habitat. Putting it together was easy as each piece snaps together. The activity set is also easy to clean. Each section of the activity set comes apart so you can clean it and then you just have to snap it back together when done. I love it but more importantly, the mice love it!" —LittleK

Get it from Amazon for $27.99 (also available in different variations).

    6. A self-grooming brush that your cat is sure to become obsessed with. Finally they will stop rubbing their face all over your computer screen while you're trying to get your work done.

Reviewer's long hair calico cat laying on the ground rubbing it's face on the scratcher
Another reviewer's black and white cat rubbing it's face on the scratcher

I have had at least one of these in my house (I've moved three times) since I got my cats four years ago. My one cat absolutely loves this thing. He is almost always begging for face scratches, rubbing his face against our computers, or going to town on this little contraption. I have it at the bottom of my stairs so he pretty much uses it constantly, especially when he is about to go upstairs — he will always pause at the bottom to rub his face for a few minutes. It took a little trial and error to find the perfect height for him, but I found the best technique was to just force him to sit near where I was going to put it and use that as a guide to decide how high to put it. This little thing is so great for the time when I'm working and can't stop to brush him for hours on end. As a bonus, he sometimes likes to chew on the little pegs, and doing that distracts him from chewing on cords or other things he shouldn't chew, so I'll take it!

Promising review: "My cat loves to brush up against my MacBook and I have been worried she was going to bite it and ruin it, so I gave this a chance. I am so glad I did. I attached it to the bottom of one of our end tables with the included adhesive strips. It stuck fine, hasn't come off and my cat will not leave it alone. She's in love! I can barely get her to sit on my lap now (I might be a tad jealous!) Definitely worth the purchase and I will be buying a couple more for other areas around the house!" —Jill S.

Get it from Amazon for $5.93.

    7. A furniture protecting dog bed to not only keep your couch clean and scratch free, but to give Fido a designated spot they can call their own. Reviewers rave about how soft it is. Pups of all sizes (and cats, too!) love taking naps on it after ~ruff~ days.

A reviewer's dog and cat sleeping on the light grey bed with another dog mostly off the bed but resting its head on it
A reviewer's dog sleeping on the bed with it turned around so the structured part is closer to the edge

The cover has a zipper so it can be easily removed and thrown in the wash!

Promising review: "We have a large leather rounded corner sectional couch that my dogs wanted up on all the time, and since we rarely set in the corner space because of the awkwardness on the legs, we decided to let the dogs lay up on it, so we bought this so they know it's their spot, and it helps with any dirt they might bring in with them and stops them from clawing it all up. So far it's been worth it, and the dogs love it." —Aaron B.

Get it from Amazon for $39.19+ (available in three sizes and four colors).

    8. An outdoor cat enclosure perfect for your indoor kitty who won't stop screaming at the door trying to get outside. Now they can enjoy an outdoor breeze, hang out with you while you're outside, and experience nature in a way they never could from behind a window. If you can't have a true screened-in porch, this is definitely the next best thing.

Some reviewers even used this for birds, squirrels, or other small animals! Many reviewers use it as is and take their cats in and out, but others have rigged it up against a window so the cats can come and go as they please. If you decide to go that route, just be sure you have secured it in some way to your house so there is no risk of your cats sliding between the enclosure and the window.

Promising review: "What can I say, this is the best purchase I have ever made for my four fur babies. They would cry at my sliding door when I go into my pool. They are indoor cats, and it broke my heart to hear them cry. So once I purchased this (I did have to hire a handy man to put it together) they go out with me when I swim and stay there all day until they cry to come in. My deck is very shaded all day so they get a cool breeze. Of course, they are not out there when I am not home. I have added a kitty litter box, some toys and comfortable beds I highly suggest purchasing this for your fur babies!!!"" —Sherry W.

Get it from Amazon for $346.99.

    9. reptile heating lamp that easily attaches to the rim of all terrariums so your bearded dragon, tortoise, or other scaly friend can enjoy bathing under the warm light.

This ceramic socket can be used with incandescent bulbs or ceramic heat emitters.

Promising reviews: "I've used a few different brands and Flukers has stood the test of time. Most others fry out right away, especially if they have switches. I currently use six of these and not so much as a flicker." —robert j vondras

"I love how easy and simple it was to put together it took me less than three mins. My baby was happy and full of light in minutes, I was so happy. My previous tortoise lamp went out and he went without any for three days so it was very important I got one that would get here fast and put together fast and I got just that." —Faith

    10. A cat tent and tube combo ideal for a buddy duo to sneak attack each other from the bed into the tube. Or if your furry friend is solo, they can use the bed as a nice relaxing break after they've tuckered themselves out from playing in the tunnel.

A reviewer's two cats playing with this, one on the bed and one in the tunnel
a reviewer's bunny exploring the brown version

Promising review: "It's the first time in years I've bought something for them that they've actually played with for more than a few minutes, and I didn't have to throw catnip all over it to get them interested. We're a multiple cat household and, so far, it's been in fairly constant use. As I type, there's one on top of it, one inside the tunnel, and one waiting to jump him just outside. It's only been a few days but, even if they destroy it tomorrow, it's been well worth the money. I should get another one, just in case..." —Thierry Elliott

Get it from Amazon for $39.99+ (available in four variations).

    11. A fast food-themed activity mat so your pup can join you in your love for everything fried, especially french fries. Just hide some treats in one of the many pockets and watch them go to town devouring their version of a happy meal.

Promising reviews: "Food puzzles are fabulous for your dog both physically and mentally. This toy is very durable and washes up great. I thought for sure the french fries would be gone in a second but they have lasted through many dogs at my shelter." —DIY Lady

"My 10-week-old puppy loves this play mat! I hide her kibble in the 'french fries' and she enjoys sniffing it out. She seems to like chewing on the pockets and flaps and her sharp little teeth have caused no issues. She loves it so much she’ll even nap on it!" —Cheezer

He destroys every other brand including Kong, but somehow someway this Zippy Paw Avocado survives and he can’t live without them. I think we have four over two years. Three of the four look a little rough, but they are still around and the dog just loves them.. we will keep buying this brand for life now, great brand!!" —Marke

    14. A pack of matatabi chew sticks designed to appeal to more cats than traditional catnip sticks (the silvervine plant they come from causes stronger and longer lasting reactions). You're bound to find your kitty cat batting these around the house or going to town gnawing on them.

Meowy Janes is a New Jersey-based small business that specializes in catnip alternatives. They work with sustainable, family-owned farms to source their natural products.

Promising review: "We have three cats and all three have positive reactions to these Matatabi sticks. The cats love to roll on these and throw them around the room. The cats have been playing and chewing on these for months and the sticks are still holding up. These last so much longer than cat nip and give a much more enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for any cat parent." —Brandon L.

Get it from Amazon for $10.21.

    15. Or, a mounted catnip ball your cats are about to become ~obsessed~ with. The four balls are all made of different things: silvervine, gall fruit, catnip, and cat sugar. Your kitty is going to love at least one of these, and you'll love not having to clean up all the flakes from traditional catnip.

A reviewer's orange and black cats each licking one of the balls mounted to the wall
A reviewer's orange, two black cats, and a tabby licking the two balls mounted to the wall
a cat licking the mounted balls

Promising review: "My 18-year-old cat recently went blind and spends most of the day sleeping. She can no longer play with string or chase the laser pointer so I thought cat nip might help her. I tried a crinkly toy that had catnip inside but it did nothing for her. I figured the catnip needed to be stronger and I liked that this had four different varieties. After sniffing the balls a few times she began purring and rubbing on them over and over. The trick with the cat sugar ball is to wet it first, once it was wet she started licking it a ton. This is a great product and I’m so happy I found it." —Tricia

Get the set of four from Amazon for $14.99+ (available connected or as stand alone balls).

    16. A snuggly undercover dog bed guests will just assume is a trendy faux fur rug, but you and your pup will know it's actually their fave doggie bed ever. Added bonus, it's machine washable!

dog laying on faux sheepskin dog bed that looks like a nice rug
    Paw

BuzzFeed editorElizabeth Lily says, "I've seen this beaut IRL and dogs seem to really adore them. Also my former dog roommate really loved a similar faux-fur blanket we had on the couch. As for that machine washable part, the furry part zips off and you can wash it. AND the liner within is memory foam and guaranteed not to flatten for 10 years."

Promising review: "Love how functional this is! It looks so much nicer in a room than a dog bed and is not bulky. It honestly is like having a rug that’s a dog bed. Don’t let the thickness fool you, though — this is my second pup rug. The first one is three years old and the memory foam is still as good as the day we got it. It’s such good foam that it doesn’t have to be big and bulky and it holds up to my three dogs that are over 100 pounds!" —maia t.

Get it from Paw.com for $199 (originally $249; available in two styles). And check out more of the luxe-looking home goods designed for your dog's lounging.

    17. A plaid hoodie so you and your fur baby can go out on the town in adorable matching outfits.

a reviewer's two dogs both in the red and black hoodie
a different reviewer's cat in the blue and black hoodie

Aside from their obvious fashion appeal, reviewers also love these for keeping their pets warm, or helping protect their coat from scratching if they have any sort of rash or irritation.

Promising review: "OMG! The cuteness overload!! I have four dogs — a Great Dane, a Doberman, a goldendoodle, and a Chiweenie. I obviously ordered the largest size for my Dane. It is a bit tight, but he is a very large Dane and muscular through the chest. The length is perfect, but like I said, a bit tight through the chest. For the Doberman and doodle I got the next size down, and theirs fit perfectly, though for all the large dogs, the hood doesn't cover their heads. For the Chiweenie, I got a size small, almost ordered XS, but, as she is part weener, she's long. Her sweatshirt fits perfectly and the hood works for her. The material is exactly like a cotton sweatshirt one would order for themselves. For the price, I don't expect them to last forever, but the seams are not splitting and the colors are bright and bold. Overall I freaking LOVE this purchase!!" —Amber Compher

Get it from Amazon for $5.99+ (available in sizes XS–2XL and eight patterns).

    18. A cat tree house that takes the traditional 'cat tree' to a whole new (and very literal) level. No one will even know your new favorite fake plant is actually an adventure station for your kitty.

a reviewer's cat sitting on top of the tree tower
the tree in a reviewer's house with two cats hiding inside

Promising review: "At first, our cat wouldn't climb onto it, even with coaxing her with treats and catnip. We think it might have had a smell or something about it from the container. But now, it's her FAVORITE part of the house; she's on it all the time! It was pretty easy to assemble and is a really cool cat tree. We didn't want a 'carpet' tree, and the extra foliage fits nicely in our house!" —The Queen of Anneland

Get it from Amazon for $93.32+ (available in four sizes and five colors).

    19. A big ol' tub of dog treats because your pup is so adorable you're gonna need a massive quantity for how often you reward them just for being so great. Them staring at the container is literally where "puppy dog eyes" came from, and no, you really cannot resist them.

Promising review: "My two Goldens love these treats. Sometimes they don't always want to come in from outside (especially when it's raining, they love the rain) but they come running when I clink the treat jar or say 'you want a treat?' These are very economical and have a good shelf life. Very satisfied with this product." —ed leufgen

Get it from Amazon $11.48 (also available in other sizes).

    20. A treat puzzle maze so your kitty can get some added stimulation into their meal time. Or if they're more of a grazing eater, fill this with treats, crinkly toys, catnip, or whatever else they love to bat around.

cat playing with a box with various holes cut into the surface
    Amazon

Promising review: "For $15 I thought why not try it. It had good reviews. Well, my cat Homer usually likes the box the toy came in more than the actual toy, but not this time. He really seems to enjoy it and it keeps him entertained and stimulated. This might be his all-time favorite plaything. We've had this toy for at least a year and it still looks new. It is the best toy he has." —Mjojo6331

Get it from Amazon for $15.92.

    21. An Aspen self-warming bed designed to reflect your pet's body heat to keep them warm and cozy so there's no worry about them overheating or having to use electricity. Warning, they may not want to cuddle with you anymore because they will never want to leave their new bed.

two cats in the red aspen self warming cat beds
    Jenae Sitzes / BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed Shopping's Jenae Sitzes has two cats who *love* these beds: "This is THE cat bed, y'all. Neither of my cats have ever really taken to a cat bed and much preferred to doze on their cat tree or curl up on a regular blanket — until I finally caved in and bought the Aspen self-warming bed a while back. IMMEDIATELY upon placing it on my couch, one of my cats crawled into it and happily began napping. As soon as he moved away, my other cat jumped in to take it for a test run as well — and immediately curled up as well. After about a week of them taking turns using it (literally, the cat *not* in the bed would lay next to it waiting for the other to leave — my polite boys 🥹), I realized I needed to buy a second one. They immediately took to that one as well, and now, they both have access to their favorite bed whenever they like! Whenever I put my hand underneath them, I can definitely feel how warm they are underneath, so the bed's self-warming feature seems to work well. I think what they love most about it is the shape and how unbelievably cushy it is. And the sides of the bed are supportive enough for them to put their heads on, but still flexible enough for them to stretch out however they like. While the listing recommends this bed for cats under 10 pounds, larger cats will be just fine, as my older cat Sneaky is quite large (his affectionate nickname is 'Chonky'), and he adores this bed. Most of all, I love knowing they won't be cold at night, especially when I'm away from home. Knowing I'll never have to waste money on another cat bed that sits unused is just the cherry on top. Highly recommend!!"

Get it from Amazon for $17.25+ (available in fives sizes and three shapes).

Promising review: "I got these for my cats. They are inside boys and when I use the harness in the fenced backyard they tend to eat grass. My ginger is a rotund 19 pounds but this contraption fits his extra large bod with room for him to turn around and check out the ladies." —angjas97

Promising review: "My cat fell in love with this as soon as we tried it for the first time. We had to hide it because she would jump inside and yowl until we took her for a walk. It fits in a car, very easy to fold, has a cute storage underneath to put treats and stuff. The zippers are a little difficult to zip, but we still love this product." —Chris Bochman

Promising review: "As far as the flavor goes; the kitties seem to find it top notch! Was tall enough after only five days; but we held off for day six to make sure 'little destroyer' didn't pull it out by the roots! The cup opening keeps the shoots tight together unlike some you buy in the pet store. We couldn't be more pleased. We ordered a refill at the same time and plan to order again just to have two cups so my kids don't fight for position. No mold problems if you follow watering directions." —Kathleen M.

Promising review: "My dog absolutely loves water. He has had an absolute blast with this! He tried to run off with it while I empty it to put it away; I’ve had to pull it away from him multiple times. He is a bully breed power chewer, and he never ripped through it. I’m sure he could have had I not been paying attention to him, but the amount of times he tried, there wasn’t a single tooth hole. Very satisfied. We can’t wait to bring it out again next year." —Brittany

Promising review: "I have a blue front amazon parrot, and he spends coutless hours chewing and playing with this toy. As with other toys, a parrot's delight is in tearing and chewing up any top I get him. I have trouble finding toys that will last more than a day or two, this one he has been playing with for a couple of weeks, and I think it will last him more than most toys." —Greta L. Oliver

This requires four AA batteries (which are not included), if you need some, grab them here!

Promising review: "My cats love this. It sure beats finger pressing against the laser pointer! This can be hung from door knob or placed on a shelf. My cats quickly learned the light comes from the white ball and when I approach it they start to chatter and get ready. It moves around in a random pattern which keeps them moving. Bought another for a friend's cat and they love it too." —Kindle Customer

Promising review: "Our new dog has been chewing through every bone and toy we give her as well as a few things we'd rather she didn't chew. This bone is awesome! She has been gnawing on it for several days and it's still in one piece, with no signs of splintering. When the time does come for a new bone I will definitely be ordering another one! Excellent product!" —Pegitz

Promising review: "My dogs love these Lambchop toys. They come in different sizes. We have them in a couple of sizes. Lambchop is light weight and easy to carry around even for smaller dogs. It does squeak but that's not a problem in this house. Lambchop is so popular in our house that the dogs steal it from one another so they can play with it. Lambchop will last our dogs about six to eight months before it starts to rip and needs to be replaced. It is white so it gets dirty fast. That is not an issue for us since we throw it in the washer and dryer and it’s looks new again." —Leigh

Promising reviews: "Got this for my 2-year-old Bernedoodle for Christmas. (Yes I buy my dogs Christmas presents. 😂) Anyway, my dog is very particular about his toys and he LOVES this thing. Hasn’t put it down since I gave it to him. It flips and flops every time he touches it. He prances around the house with it flopping in his mouth all day long, he’s very proud of his catch." —Melissa Odsather

"My cats absolutely love this thing. I initially only got one because I wanted to make sure they would take to it, including our very shy and skittish cat. Not only did she take to it, she loves it! It seems to bring out the predator in her and she keeps taking off with it and trying to hide it. The motion works and looks great! Outside of the slight noise it makes when activated, it looks very real (about as real as you can get for a toy). The material feels durable and safe and I love how you can remove the motor and wash it. I also like that the motor is rechargeable. We like the sealed catnip bag that comes with it, to help prevent it getting all over the house and all over inside the toy." —Bridget

Promising review: "I put only about five of these in there and it filled out the tank sooooooo much!!! It gave my new babes a place to hide from the older grumpy fish until they got more comfy in the tank and grow a bit. (I also have rock hideaways) if you can't have plants cause of your fish, this is a good way to give your tank color and a place for the fish to hide. for the amount this price is AMAZING!!!!" —Bluecowgirl

Promising review: "I’m a cookie baker so when I found this product, I was all over it! I was nervous that our doggo wouldn’t like them but they’re his new favorite! You definitely smell the peanut butter and can see the dried berries throughout the mixture. The dough was a bit crumbly for the cut-out hearts but it worked out fine! I probably could’ve added more water than what it called for to make the dough the consistency I’m used to. I also bought some icing specific for dogs and drizzled it over the treats once they were cool. This brand is our new go-to!" —Haley

    36. A dog ball launcher for those days when your doggo has so much energy and you just can't keep up. You can even adjust the launch distance depending on how much your pup likes to run or how little their legs are.

Promising review: "Bought this for our 4-year-old baby. She loves to chase balls and can do it for hours (so it seems). To save our arm and shoulder sockets, we took a chance on this and L-O-V-E it. She has learned the sound of the machine gearing up for the throw and literally prances in place waiting for the ball to eject. We bought extra balls because sometimes she doesn't bring them back so we wanted to have a stockpile. EXCELLENT value for the price!" —Faith I

    37. Or a Chuckit! ball launcher when you still want to be involved in the game but know your doggo has more energy than you have endurance in your arm. This thing will launch their ball and up your fetch game to a whole new level.

Promising review: "My dog never understood the concept of fetch. It didn't matter what I tried. This FINALLY has her fetching and using up all (OK, most) of the energy that a cattle dog has. We can play over and over and over without my measly arm wearing out, and she's able to sprint to her heart's content. I'm already planning to gift one to my brother's dog who also is fetch dumb." —Amazon Customer
