31 Products To Automate Your Everyday Life You Won’t Believe You Lived Without

I'll go on the record to say these products *don't* make you lazy, they make you innovative and good at time management.

    1. A one year subscription to coffee so every month you have a new bag at your doorstep and don't have to come to the horrific realization one cold, dark morning that you are out of coffee 😱.

Four purple bags of different flavored coffee: downtown blend, Indonesian Sumatra, Ethiopian Sidamo, and Peru Las Damas
    Bean & Bean

Bean & Bean is a small Korean-American owned business creating eco-friendly coffee that is organic and fair-trade. They are also working towards bridging the gap of gender inequality in the world of coffee and therefore they have created a coffee chain made up of more than half female workers.

Promising review: "We purchased the coffee of the month and the hand grinder as a gift to our kiddos and with each visit, we are able to enjoy great-tasting coffee and delicious beans. The grinder/storage container is fun and makes the perfect grind while perfectly storing the wonderful beans! And with every delicious sip, we are also experiencing the gratefulness of supporting a company that does so much good in the world! Thank you so very much Bean & Bean for the amazingly delicious gift that keeps on giving!!" —Lauren S.

Get the one year subscription from Bean & Bean for $218 (originally $240; available in two sizes, five flavors, and whole or ground).

    2. A touchless kitchen faucet to put an end to having to use your icky fingers to turn the sink on. Just wave your hand and the water will start flowinggg. And don't worry, it has an auto shutoff after three minutes in case you have any kids or pets who manage to turn it on and just leave it running.

Promising review: "I usually do not write a ton of reviews. I save them for the companies and products that truly deserve them. In this case, this product and company deserve a glowing review. The product is easy to install, visually stunning, and completely functional. Sounds like things that should be a given, however, we Amazon shoppers know that is not always the case. Even when I had a discrepancy of a missing piece they immediately answered my email and sent out the piece express!! I will absolutely recommend this product and this company." —Alex M.

Get it from Amazon for $169.99 (available in five finishes).

    3. And an automatic soap dispenser because what's the point of having an automatic faucet if you're still gonna get the soap dispenser all nasty with your grimey fingers?

A reviewer dispensing a small amount of soap without touching the dispenser
A reviewer's black soap dispenser on their sink

Promising review: "This soap dispenser is perfect. You can see when the soap is getting low and you can refill it accordingly. You can turn it on and off, you can adjust the amount of soap being dispensed, and you can actually match it with your decor in any area in your house. It’s a must-buy." —Pamela Bynes

Get it from Amazon for $28.99+ (available in seven finishes).

    4. A smart curtain opener that can easily adjust the brightness in your room with the push of a button on your phone. Plus you can even hide the device behind the ruffles and make all your guests think you splurged on some super fancy and expensive automatic curtains.

A reviewer's white curtain opener hanging between their curtains
    A reviewer's curtain automatically closing

Promising review: "This is the best product I’ve ever bought on Amazon. I love that I can close my blinds from anywhere from my phone. If I’m not home, I can shut them at night. If I’m away on vacation. I can open and close them so it appears someone is home. Seconds to set up. Minutes to calibrate. Lifetime of use. Only need to charge once every six to eight months. I ordered for one window. Ended up getting them for all windows. Impress friends every time they are over too." —Keith

Get it from Amazon for $89+ (available in two styles and two colors).

    5. A toothpaste dispenser so you can get the right amount of toothpaste every time, get every last bit of it, not end up with globs all over the counter, AND never worry about losing the cap. This, my friends, is innovation at its finest.

Promising review: "I bought this about six months ago and have been using it since. I rarely leave reviews, but decided to come back and submit one. This is an amazing product, and is less than $10! It works as advertised. It's super easy to install, and even easier to use. It saves the hassle of removing the cap where it will invariable fall down the sink drain, or roll on the floor behind the toilet. I used to limit myself to one toothpaste mainly because it came with a flip top cap. As I've gotten older I've been advised to change brands and was disappointed to find it was unavailable with a flip top. This solves the problem easily. It has accepted three different brands of toothpaste with no problem. Plus it squeezes every last drop of toothpaste from the tube! I like it so much I bought one for my goofy 10-year-old grandson. My daughter says it has eliminated the toothpaste crime scene he invariably left. I know, I know, I know. In the grand scheme of things, fumbling with the toothpaste cap is pretty low on the list of things to worry about. But I've discovered that by eliminating the minor frustrations in life, it's easier to tackle the bigger ones. Order this now!!" —MontanaSteve

Get it from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in three colors and with or without toothbrush holders).

    6. Under-cabinet lighting that turns on by sensing movement so when you wake up parched in the middle of the night you can find your way to the fridge without stubbing your toe or crashing into anything along the way.

These lights come with adhesive attached so you just have to peel the backing and stick them under your cabinets. They also have a detachable, rechargeable battery, so no need to worry about taking the whole thing down to charge it. When using the motion sensor, the battery should last about three months.

Promising review: "I love this light! I’ve only had it for a few weeks but it has made all of the difference. Comes on as I approach my sink and is the perfect amount of light. Actually gives off a decent amount of light for our size of kitchen, too. My kids even love it and complimented me saying 'This was a great purchase mom!' It goes off quickly and I have yet to have to recharge the battery. I love that it’s cordless! And I love that you can make it brighter or dimmer. I didn’t know I needed this and now I wouldn’t want to be without it. Will be getting more for other areas of my home. Would make a great gift as well!" —Marci K.

Get it from Amazon for $42.99+ (available in two light colors).

    7. A countertop ice maker because honestly filling up ice cube trays is one of the more annoying and tedious tasks out there. Now instead of constantly filling (and spilling), you can have fresh ice produced every few minutes!

Promising review: "I love that it was easy enough to set up...it's not big and bulky – fits nicely on the counter next to my refrigerator and it only takes minutes to make new ice cubes. It's also very good that when the red light is on it means that the ice basket is full and that it will not make more until the ice in the basket is removed. I also like that the light comes on to let me know that the water level is low and needs to be filled. As far as the noise level, it is quiet until you hear a click then you hear the cubes falling in the basket which is not an issue for me." —Alana Hall

Get it from Amazon for $109.99+ (available in six colors).

    8. A bleach-free weekly shower spray that doesn't require scrubbing. 😩🙌🏼 This may not be ~automatic~ in the way you are thinking, but all you have to do is spray it on and leave it, and when you wipe it away (8–12 hours later), you will be *shocked* by the results.

Reviewer's dark tile shower covered in white build up
same show without any build up

Promising review: "Holy cow! The only thing I'm mad about is that I didn't know about it sooner! I have three teenage daughters. My shower sees body oils, creams, hair dye, etc DAILY. Scrubbing once a week wasn't enough. The girls didn't always remember to use the daily shower spray. This stuff WORKS! I can see the difference after two uses two days in a row. Could see a change on day one. I think one more use will have my tub looking like I scrubbed with bleach for an hour!" —Jon W.

Get it from Amazon for $19.54+ (available in two sizes and two scents).

    9. A motion-sensor trash can so you don't have to worry about dropping any food scraps on the floor while you fumble to open the trash. This will smoothly and quietly open with just a wave of your hand.

Promising review: "I know, I know! It's strange to be in love with a trash can, but I am. This thing is just great! Smooth, quiet, sleek — and the semi-round shape and footprint (size) was critical to where it could fit in my small kitchen! Now, you are talking to someone who, for years, never used a real trash can and only relied on loose grocery shopping bags for their trash. I didn't know what I was missing!" —Amazonshrimpy

Get it from Amazon for $198.99 (available in four finishes).

    10. A robotic cat toy that will keep your cat entertained even when you aren't able to play with them. The randomized movements will keep your kitty guessing so they don't get bored with predictable patterns.

Promising review: "I got this for my cats for Christmas but I have one cat who is old and has to live upstairs because the other cats pick on her. I decided since she wouldn’t be participating on Christmas morning that I’d let her go ahead and check it out. She LOVES this toy. She’s been playing with it every day for three weeks. Like I said, she’s old. She doesn’t play a lot anymore. I LOVE it too because it’s easy to charge. It has different attachments so I have options to find one that is most appealing to my cat but the best part is that when she stops playing with it, after a while it goes off and then about a half an hour later it comes back on again. I’m not constantly having to turn it off and on for her. I had this on my wish list for a long time and ended up getting it on Prime Day since it was cheaper. Had I known how much my cat would love this toy, I wouldn’t have waited for a deal. I’m super excited to see what the other cats think of it. If my old cat doesn’t stop playing with it by Christmas, I will order another so she can keep it." —K Petty

Get it from Amazon for $21.90.

    11. A blackhead remover pore vacuum so you can stop spending ~forever~ staring in the mirror popping your pimples. Just run this bad boy over your face a few minutes every week and you'll start to notice waayyy less gunk in your pores.

A reviewer holding the pore vacuum

Warning: don't leave this in one spot for too long, try to use continuous movement, or you can end up with bruise like marks (they will, of course, go away, but it may be a day or so). Reviewers also recommend using this after a steamy shower or opening your pores up with a warm towel.

Promising review: "I’ve never used something like this before and did research on different brands and landed on this one. I’m happy with my decision. It’s easy to use, it works well, and it’s so satisfying! I have large pores and have always seen them clogged, it felt so refreshing to finally get them cleaned out! I don’t have experience with other devices like this to compare it to, I just know that I’m happy with this one and have already recommended it to a few others!" —Jennifer

Get it from Amazon for $32.99+ (available in six colors).

    12. A set of electric salt and pepper grinders because sometimes you're busy multitasking and can't have both hands involved to hand grind your seasonings. With this, you don't even have to press a button!! Just flip it over and the gravity sensor starts grinding.

    You will need AAA batteries.

Promising reviews: "These grinders are amazing! They work very well and they look great. When friends and family come over for dinner and uses them, they want a set for themselves right away. You can get the grind very fine or you can easily adjust with a simple quick twist of the knob for a larger salt or pepper grind. I really like the bright LED lights." —Travis M.

"I have always used a manual salt and pepper mill. As I’m aging, its getting harder to put the effort in manually turning the mill. I would get calluses from turning and would only get a small amount. I finally decided to get an automatic salt and pepper mill and what a difference! I can get freshly milled salt and pepper without the effort." —Grace Benlice

Get the set from Amazon for $29.97 (available in three colors as well as single grinders).

    13. A back massager so you can still get that relaxing treatment even when your partner refuses to continue rubbing your back. This is long enough for you to get into all the spots between your shoulders, and comes with six massage heads to help you with whatever type of pain you're having.

A reviewer's massager with the travel case and six attachments
A reviewer showing them reaching their back in the mirror

Promising review: "I absolutely love this massager. I have arthritis pain everywhere and a lot of muscle tightness in spite of all my exercising. This massager is light weight and the long handle allows me to reach the knotted area between my shoulder blades. There is always an attachment that is just right for the area or problem I need to address. I keep it by my side at night because sometimes my hamstrings cramp at night and the massager gives me instant relief. I can also get a great foot massage with the rounded attachment. It has enabled me to relax the tight tendons and ligaments in my hip hinge that I have had ever since my hip replacement surgery two years ago. The more I use the massager at the top of my thigh, the more relaxed that tight area becomes. It really stimulates the circulation all over my body and provides muscle pain relief after exercise, which I do multiple times daily. It holds a charge quite a long time and it's lightweight makes it very easy to hold and maneuver." —Bobbi Neil

Get it from Amazon for $34.99.

    14. An self-cleaning litter box that senses when your kitty has left the box to rake away whatever they've left behind. Not only does this save you from having to manually clean your litter box, but reviewers rave that it has helped reduce odors as well!

A reviewer's litter box with a lid on the top and only open on the front
a reviewer's black and white cat sitting in the completely open litter box

Heads up! You will have to manually replace the tray every few weeks when it gets full (depending on how many kitties are using it), but that's still wayyy easier than fully cleaning the box! Also, this box is only intended to be used with crystal litter so if you don't have any, grab some here

Promising review: "This thing is freaking awesome. I literally just set it up, my daughter brings over our cat Monty, and he climbs in by himself, feels around a bit with his claws, then goes right in front of us! Totally weird for a cat. Then as soon as he is done HE covers his feces as is normal, then as soon as he leaves the box sensor's timer begins, then automatically rakes the grains smooth, also raking the feces underneath the covered part. The litter box is kept in a closet next to my home office desk (I use my dining area as my home office). Usually it stinks while I work and I just have to deal with it, but now I smell nothing! SUCH a GREAT investment. Thing is nicer than my toilet." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $169.95+ (available in three variations).

    15. An Oral-B electric toothbrush to clean your teeth waayyy better than what you can do with a manual toothbrush — not only does it rotate to remove plaque, but it senses and stops if you're pressing too hard, and has a timer to help you know when the recommended two minutes is up. Warning: you may notice yourself spending a lot of time feeling how smooth your teeth are.

Promising review: "Review essentially copied directly from a text I sent to a friend after I'd used it the first time: Holy heck. I ordered a new electric toothbrush after doing some research on em? And oh golly that is...a powerful sucker ahaha. Previously I had bought into the Quip toothbrush marketing and used that for a couple of years because they would send you heads automatically and stuff? That thing might as well have been a very heavy stationary toothbrush compared to this thing. I feel like each tooth just got individually car washed. MY TEETH HAVE NEVER BEEN SO THOROUGHLY SCRUBBED. (But like in a gentle, caring kinda way. Bc the bristles are also soft on sensitive gums and teeth. A+ would recommend and will continue to use basically forever)." —Kindle Customer

Get it from Amazon for $49.94.

    16. An automatic cat food dispenser so you can finally enjoy your sleep instead of having your kitty scream their head off at 5 a.m. begging you to fill up their bowl. You can schedule up to four feeding times a day and choose between nine serving sizes.

A reviewer's feeding station with some food in the bowl
A reviewer's two cats each eating out of their own feeder

You can also create a custom 10-second recording to play when it dispenses so your kitty knows to associate your voice with the happiness they feel at mealtime.

Promising review: "So far I'm loving it. I've had this for a few days, and it's working perfectly. I got this for my overweight cat to help with his diet. He loves it and already recognizes the sound when it's dispensing. I also got this because he would cry for food early in the morning. No more crying! I have this set for 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. and, so far.... I've been able to sleep in. I still serve all my cats wet food when I get home at night, but this sure has helped a lot." —Danielle M.

Get it from Amazon for $69.99+ (available in two sizes, three colors, and with or without wifi compatibility).

    17. Foreo's Luna Mini 2, which uses sonic pulsations to deep clean below the skin's surface in just 60 seconds!! That means you can stop spending forever scrubbing your face by hand wondering if you're even getting rid of the makeup residue, dirt, and extra oil.

Promising review: "I was a little skeptical at first just because I didn’t think it would work that well. 20. A dog ball launcher for those days when your doggo has so much energy and you just can't keep up. You can even adjust the launch distance depending on how much your pup likes to run or how little their legs are.

A reviewer's dog putting a ball in the launcher and then chasing it when it gets thrown
A reviewer's dog bringing a ball back to put back into the machine

Promising review: "Bought this for our 4-year-old baby. She loves to chase balls and can do it for hours (so it seems). To save our arm and shoulder sockets, we took a chance on this and L-O-V-E it. She has learned the sound of the machine gearing up for the throw and literally prances in place waiting for the ball to eject. We bought extra balls because sometimes she doesn't bring them back so we wanted to have a stockpile. EXCELLENT value for the price!" —Faith I

Get it from Amazon for $129.99+ (available in two sizes).

    21. An electric can opener with a bonus knife sharpener so you can throw away that annoying manual one that never seems to actually open the can the full way causing you to risk your poor fingers by sticking them in to finish the job.

Promising review: "We love this electric can opener, that does more than just open cans! There's a bottle opener slot and even a knife sharpener on the back, super convenient. Our last can opener was a handheld electric can opener that didn't even last a year. The motor blew on it, so we definitely needed a new one. With my arthritis in my hands, I can't use a manual can opener for more than one can. We stumbled upon this one and so glad we did! It's amazing and looks sleek in our kitchen! Win win!" —Scott&Amiee

Get it from Amazon for $24.99.

    22. A SwitchBot smart switch button pusher to turn pretty much even the dumbest of devices into a smart one (as long as it has a press-able "on/off" switch). Now instead of getting up to turn on your coffee machine or turn off the light you can just ask Alexa or control it with the app on your phone.

The black version on a reviewer's coffee machine button
the white square shaped SwitchBot on a lightswitch, fan, and computer

Reviewers love this because it doesn't require you to "smart enable" other parts of your home. It's also a great way to turn on your kettle or coffee brewer from the other room so it's ready for you when you get out of bed!

Promising review: "This is exactly what I was looking for and had no idea it existed until I saw someone mention it on TikTok! Our front walkway gets pretty dark at night, and I was frustrated with trying to remember to turn on the light every evening and off every morning. I looked into those light sensors you can plug in, but our front porch light is under an awning with enough shade that it would have kept the light on 24/7. This little Switchbot solved the problem. I applied it to the indoor light switch and set the time on my phone. It has worked perfectly ever since." —Alecia McLochlin

Get it from Amazon for $29.99 (available in white and black).

    23. An outlet timer that has clearly marked time increments so even the most forgetful people can feel confident they didn't leave another thing plugged in all day. The auto-shut off ranges from 15 minutes to six hours, so you can really customize it for anything from hair curlers to slow cookers.

Check out the outlet timer in action on TikTok!

Promising review: "I was looking for a better countdown timer to turn off corded entertainment devices after I fall asleep. The one I've been using has small buttons and a LCD display. Although any countdown time can be set on it, the display is hard to see in low lighting. This BN-LINK has larger buttons and knowing their order allows me to select a preset time in the dark. Yes, not infinitely flexible, but 15 and 30 minutes, plus one, two, four and six hours is close enough for my needs." —Picky Consumer 01

Get it from Amazon for $10.19

    24. An Owlet pet camera and treat dispenser for those days you have to leave your fur baby at home and you get (irrationally? No, I don't think it's irrational) sad that they won't have any human interaction. Now you can watch them, talk to them, and even throw them treats so they remember you didn't actually abandon them, you just had to go to work.

Promising review: "I love this cute little treat machine! My cats know the sound and run right in view of the camera when they hear it. I got this cause I missed my cats while I was on vacation and wished I could give them treats. This fixed my sad little heart! Now I can give them treats, talk to them, and see them run to the camera. I love the little suction cups on the bottom of the device that keep it from being knocked over easily! Which my cats try to do." —akcrews

Get it from Amazon for $99.99 (available in two colors).

    25. A robot vacuum that was created to put an end to the dreaded chore of vacuuming. And unlike other robot vacuums, this one MOPS AT THE SAME TIME!! And self-empties when it gets full… like, yes, this is expensive, but can you really put a price on NEVER having to clean your floors again?!

    Check it out on TikTok!

Promising review: "I had resisted my partner's suggestion of buying a robotic vacuum for years. Finally acquiesced...and absolutely love it! It really does the job! Gets the corners, picks up debris, and oh my goodness, the cat and human hair my other vacuum was missing! The self-emptier didn't work the first time because the hair clogged the feeder. But it works now as we run the machine every other day, so there is far less hair to pick up. Navigates throw rugs with ease. I'm entertained by its movements — the way it makes its way around objects — almost makes me believe it really does have a full team 'command central' inside (like the TV ads show)." —Amazon Customer

    26. Or, a more affordable Eufy robot vacuum so no matter how busy you are, you can always come home to a clean house. There is honestly nothing better than a freshly vacuumed floor, especially if it required ~zero~ effort from you.

Robot vacuum on reviewer's hardwood floor
Reviewer holding the filter filled with dust and hair

I ~hate~ vacuuming. It is very possibly my least favorite chore, so when it came time to make my wedding registry, this was one of the items I KNEW I needed to include. It makes my life soo much easier. We have two cats who shed (and tbh I suppose my hair is part of the problem as well) and it is such a hassle to try to keep up with vacuuming when the hair accumulates so quickly. Having this little gadget has been such a time saver. We usually just turn it on when we are leaving the house and it gets to work right away. I live in a three-story townhouse so we typically empty it between each floor since we have to carry it upstairs anyway (still desperately waiting for someone to invent a robot vacuum for stairs), so I can't attest to how much it can collect at once, but we've never had any issues with it handling each floor of our house.

Promising review: "This is a great tool for a lazy person like me. I've run it every day since I got it a week ago, and it's picking up all the dirt, dust and cat hair I have neglected for ages. I still have to empty the dust collector and clean the filters, but it's nothing compared to having to drag the vacuum cleaner around the house myself! Definitely worth its price!" —Lina L. Y.

Get it from Amazon for $199.99 (available in black or white).

    27. A smart garage control system that will provide you with convenience AND peace of mind for all those times you leave your house just to worry five minutes later about whether or not you actually closed your garage door.

I have lived in my house with this system for about a year now and I honestly never thought about needing one of these since I could just control my garage with a little button, but since I've been using it, it is so helpful. If I ever want to go out without bringing my keys I know I can because I can just easily open the garage with this app. BUT, the real benefit that I would never have considered happened to me a few months ago. My husband and I were both out when we got a notification that our fire alarm was going off, obviously we both panicked and didn't know what to do. He got a call from the security company that the fire department was on the way and we knew they were going to beat us there. I soon realized that in order for them to inspect our house they would have to bust through the door. Somehow even in my absolutely chaotic panicking state, I realized I could use this app to open the garage so the fire department could get in through there. *Thankfully* it was just a false alarm, but we talked to the fire fighters after and they said in situations like these they would break down the door if they saw any credible indications of fire (which luckily we didn't have) but they did say that was incredibly helpful for them to be able to just get in without causing harm or just assuming there was nothing wrong and leaving. I was so grateful to have this device and it honestly provides so much peace of mind knowing I can open (or close) my garage from anywhere in case of an emergency or if I just realize after leaving that the door is still open.

Promising review: "Amazingly simple to set up. The video for instructions helped a lot. Actually overall setup was a breeze. I am glad that I found a cost-effective solution. My high school kids sometimes forget to close the garage door and now we can check and remotely close it from the app. Finally, what a relief!" —Art P

    28. An automatic pan stirrer for those recipes that require *constant* stirring. I mean, let's be honest, who is actually standing there and stirring nonstop?! Now you can have this nifty little robot handle that job.

    30. A Kiss Instawave automatic curling iron for those of us who struggle with the skills and patience to manually curl our hair. I somehow get all tangled up in my own arms trying to figure out which way to wrap my hair and how long to hold it there. Now all you have to do is push a button and the work is done for you —  I think even I can manage that.

The curling iron has prongs along the sides that act as a comb to smooth and detangle the hair as it gets wrapped around and curled. The ceramic ionic barrel ensures you create smooth, voluminous curls that are frizz-free. There are two heat settings and it reaches up to 420 degrees, and with an automatic shut-off after 90 minutes, you don't have to panic every time you leave the house trying to remember if you turned it off or not.

Promising review: "Here's the deal — I don't know how to do my makeup, I have thick hair, but never knew how to do anything but straighten it, until a friend made me try her Kiss automatic curling iron. It legitimately works and it's the easiest thing to use! I've (briefly) tried other wands and burned myself over and over. I've never burned myself with this tool and I love that it makes it easy to curl away from your face on either side, with just a push of a button. I also like that it dings when it's done, so it takes some guess work out. If you want curls, but are intimidated by all the tools out there, you won't be disappointed with this styler." —Uskadelig

Promising review: "I'm a huge fan of coffee and I need it in daily life. Absolutely loving this new cup! Easy and quick to mix your coffee and milk, pretty handy! Cleaning the cup couldn't be easier with the self stirring function, just put a little dab of soap, fill the mug half way with water, turn it on and let it do its own thing." —Lina
