Mince pies can stay a once-a-year thing though.
Why make such a GOOD thing for only a short space of time? I'd like to start the day by opening a chocolate-filled door all year round please. Also, I'm starting a petition to make your birthday a big treat like Christmas Eve always is!
You snooze but you definitely don't lose on Christmas Day. Everyone who's anyone is heading straight for the best spot on the sofa for a power nap after food! Naturally, you'll need to keep the Quality Street (other brands are available) close by for a post-nap pick-me-up though.
What is it about glitter that makes people so damn happy? Stick it on jumpers, dresses, boots – heck, I'll even have it plastered all over my eyelids please.
They exist all year round, don't they? Or are they napping, helping to sort the presents, hibernating? Asking for a friend. Personally, I think it makes sense that we celebrate these beauties 365 days a year!
Smother it on a roast dinner, put it in a sandwich, eat it with cheese... The possibilities are truly endless, and I don't think any further explanation is needed.
Even in summer I hear you cry? I wouldn't say no to my house smelling of spicy baked goods whatever the weather, TBH.
Why does a kiss under the mistletoe always feel ten times more romantic though? BRB, just grabbing some lip balm.
By far one of the ~unsung heroes~ of a Christmas dinner, my only complaint is there's never enough bread sauce! I feel like this could be a controversial opinion, but I reckon there's very little food that bread sauce can't improve... Sprouts, I'm looking at you.
I mean, they're a work of art. The baubles, the fairy lights, the star on top... What's not to love?!
We all do this, right? I mean, gimme all the pups in Christmas outfits please. Highlight of my day forever and always.
There are bonus points if you can recite every word. In fact, if you can't recite every word, then we can't be friends.
Surely this is self-explanatory? Imagine how exciting those 'what did you have for breakfast?' convos could be if we ate with such reckless abandon all year round! I had some Lindt truffles followed by a bar of fruit and nut.
I mean it just works, doesn't it? Stayed out mega late? It's Christmas. Stolen your sister's top? It's Christmas... Some might say the problem with this is that ~isn't~ Christmas, but I say Christmas is a state-of-mind, folks.
A controversial one perhaps, but I feel like once you hit 30, you know. There was something that used to gross me out about this creamy-looking punch in my early 20s, but move over mulled wine, there's a new hot girl in town.
Sorry, but is there anything more satisfying than cheese on top of cheese on top of cheese? I think not. Put it this way, if I could bathe in it like this GIF, I probably would.
I guess we call it bottomless brunch on Saturday though, right? Not to sound a bit OTT, but there's something about a glass of fizz that complements breakfast food perfectly.
N'aww... Now that's a true lesson for all year-round! I won't lie, this was my sentimental other half's answer, while I meanwhile was thinking about food!
As someone who doesn't love cake (I know, I know, I'll give you a second) I still think a sweet-adorned house is a sight to behold! It's the pinnacle of baking IMO, and I don't know why we only get it once a year!
