I Want To Know Which Death In A Movie Caught You Completely Off-Guard

I mean the one that made your jaw drop.

I think it's safe to say we've all seen at least one movie that featured a truly shocking death.

There are a handful that definitely made me gasp the first time I saw them, such as Samuel L. Jackson's character's unceremonious demise at the hands of an extra-smart shark in Deep Blue Sea.

And I know the death of Drew Barrymore's character less than 15 minutes into Scream must have thrown quite a few people for a loop. (Had I not been 10 and unaware of just how famous Barrymore already was at the time, I'd probably have been one of them.)

Though fans of Psycho might not have been quite as stunned by Scream, considering it originated the plot device nearly 40 years earlier by killing off Janet Leigh's character just 20 minutes into the film.
