You know, the little cooking tricks that blew your mind the first time you learned them?

Hacks like using two plates (or quart container lids) to easily slice cherry tomatoes or grapes in half without smashing them...

Much faster than slicing them one by one.

Or storing fresh herbs in paper towel bundles to keep them fresh...

It helps keep herbs fresher and prevents them from wilting.

Or saving all of your herb stems and tying them into little bundles to add to your soups and sauces.

It adds a nice herby flavor to whatever you're cooking without having to spend any extra money. (Because anyone who attends culinary school knows that utilizing every last bit of food is a big deal.)

A simple hack like poaching eggs in plastic wrap is one of those clever tricks that can save some serious time (and mess!) if you know how to do it.
