The term "420" originated in San Rafael, California by a group of friend in High School. This group was known as the “Waldos” and they would meet after school at 4:20 pm to smoke cannabis. They even went on a quest for a lost plot of weed!

In Idaho, there is a 420 road sign that had to be changed to 419.9 due to constant theft. Honestly, smart move. Good news, Canada has a Highway 420, due to the growth of cannabis along the highway in the past. So there has to be a sign with 420 there! LET'S STEAL IT!

Because European dates are Day/Month, there is no 4/20 in Europe. But there may be a 20/4. But if you say 20/4 out loud it just sounds like a day for people that are obsessed with the Kiefer Sutherland show, 24. It doesn't have that ring to it like 4/20!
