Future NBA Stars Under 21 You Should Follow
Who are the NBA's brightest young stars?
The NBA season tips off later this season, and although it was a short offseason, there is a whole batch of young talent ready to take the league by storm. More importantly, do they have any chance of dethroning LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers?
From rookies to veterans, here are 21 players under 21 that everyone will need to keep an eye on in 2021:
1. Killian Hayes, 19, Detroit Pistons.

Nickname: "Kill"

Expect this lefty combo guard out of France to get plenty of minutes for the Pistons. Ignore the rookie's overseas stats and watch the production he gets out of his minutes on the floor.
2. Patrick Williams, 19, Chicago Bulls.

Height: 6'8"
College: Florida State

In just four preseason games, Williams had more than twenty minutes of playing time. As a rookie, every minute will count, but if he comes off the bench, he proved himself as a bench player at FSU when he earned the ACC Sixth Man of the Year Award in the 2019-20 season.
3. James Wiseman, 19, Golden State Warriors.
Blessed to see another year! God is good! 🎉🎁🎉1️⃣9️⃣
Number: 33
Height: 7'1" (Not a typo, this young man is already seven-foot-one!)
Nickname: None, but...Medals: Olympic Gold for USA
Twitter: @BigTicket_JW
Even though he had college eligibility problems at Memphis, he still averaged 19.7 points and 10.7 rebounds in just three games. The Warriors could use a big man like him after a season plagued by injuries.
4. R.J. Hampton, 19, Denver Nuggets.

Number: 13
Height: 6'5"
Nickname: Hamptime
Twitter: @RJHampton14
One of a handful of American rookies to play overseas, he was the best player to come out of Texas. Most draft experts really complimented his motor, which is essential if he wants to succeed in the NBA.
5. R.J. Barrett, 20, New York Knicks.

Number: 9
Height: 6'6"
Nickname: "Maple Mamba"
Twitter: @rjbarrett6
Barrett averaged 14.3 points per game on a less than stellar Knicks team. Coming into his second year, expect Barrett to be more up to speed and really find ways to score consistently on the floor.
6. LaMelo Ball, 19, Charlotte Hornets.

Height: 6'7"
Nickname: "Melo"
Twitter: @MELOD1P
Draft experts speculated all summer about Ball going first overall in the draft, but the Hornets nabbed him at No. 3. He has plenty of upside and should make an immediate impact as a rookie.
7. Anthony Edwards, 19, Minnesota Timberwolves.

This year's first overall pick proved himself during his time with the University of Georgia. Last season, he averaged 19.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. He will be the key piece if the Timberwolves want to build around Karl Anthony-Towns.
8. Zion Williamson, 20, New Orleans Pelicans.

Height: 6'6"
Nickname: "Zanos" (Keep him away from infinity stones.)
Twitter: @zionwilliamson
The biggest name on this list. This man's name might be the biggest ticket seller since LeBron. Unfortunately, injuries have derailed a chance to get a real good look at him. In 2021, all eyes will be on him, once again.
9. Luka Doncic, 21, Dallas Mavericks.

Number: 77
Height: 6'7"
Nickname: "El Matador"
Twitter: @luka7doncic
Of all the players on this list, Doncic is arguably the best. 24.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game. That's not just a franchise player's stats, those are a future MVP's stats. Mavericks fans have a superstar to be excited about for the next decade.
10. Ja Morant, 21, Memphis Grizzlies.

Number: 12
Height: 6'3"
Nickname: No nickname, just "Ja"
Twitter: @jamorant
Why say "arguably the best" when talking about Doncic? Enter Ja. Last year, Morant won Rookie of the Year, and if Doncic put up almost 25 points per game in his second year, it is a sure bet Morant will do the same and take his offensive game to the next level.
11. Jaren Jackson Jr., 20, Memphis Grizzlies.

Number: 13
Height: 6'11"
Nickname: "JJJ" (Triple J)
Twitter: @jarenjacksonjr
The only thing holding this young man back is more potential injuries, because, ~wow~, he really offers the Grizzlies a big presence. In the NBA bubble last season, he averaged 17.4 points per game.
12. Wendell Carter Jr., 20, Chicago Bulls.

Number: 34
Height: 6'9"
Nickname: None, but "Chi-Town Carter" could work.
Twitter: N/A.
Carter seems to improve each year. This is his third season with the Bulls and should be the year he really starts to get the speed of the game and maybe even break 10 rebounds per game.
13. Darius Garland, 20, Cleveland Cavaliers.

Number: 10
Height: 6'1"
Nickname: "Boog"
Twitter: @dariusgarland22
Garland has a chance to net near 20 points per game. Now, whether his team is good or not remains to be seen, but at least he gives Cleveland fans hope that they can continue to build around a solid scorer.
14. Coby White, 20, Chicago Bulls.

Height: 6'4"
Nickname: None
Twitter: @cobywhite
White has room for improvement on offense and needs to be more efficient shooting to help the Bulls win games. His 13.2 points per game was great last season, but he shouldn't settle for good. He has monster potential.
15. Nassir Little, 20, Portland Trailblazers.

Number: 9
Height: 6'5"
Nickname: Philosopher Nas AND Silent Assassin.
Twitter: @2ez_nassie
He has the nicknames, but does he have the skill? Absolutely, but like a lot of young players, ignore the "per game" stats. He'll require more minutes to really get an understanding if he is just another body or a great sixth man.
16. Jaxson Hayes, 20, New Orleans Pelicans.

Number: 10
Height: 6'11"
Nickname: Sideshow Jax
Twitter: @hayes_jaxson
Hayes has a chance to be a great rebounder and blocker in the NBA. He just needs the minutes, but for now he needs to make every second on the floor count with the Pelicans.
17. Cam Reddish, 21, Atlanta Hawks.
View this photo on Instagram
Number: 22
Height: 6'8"
Nickname: "Killer Cam"
Twitter: @camreddish
If Cam is as good of a shooter as he was at Duke, he will have a very long NBA career. The mix of his size and shooting ability makes him an asset for Atlanta, and a piece they need to develop to complement star guard Trae Young.
18. Romeo Langford, 21, Boston.

Number: 45
Height: 6'4"
Nickname: None
Twitter: @yeahyeah22
Another player to completely ignore stats for. Langford might have the highest ceiling as a scorer compared to other players on this list, but a loaded Celtics roster will stunt his chances unless they trade him or he gets a serious boost in minutes.
19. Bol Bol, 21, Denver Nuggets.
View this photo on Instagram
Number: 10
Height: 7'2"
Nickname: No nickname needed.
Twitter: @bolbol
There are giants, and then there are skilled giants. Bol Bol isn't a just big man, he can ball. Can he be more than a "big man" with the Nuggets? Ivan Jurkovic has had success, so why not Bol?
20. Tyler Herro, 20, Miami Heat.
View this photo on Instagram
Number: 14
Height: 6'5"
Nickname: "Boy Wonder"
Twitter: @raf_tyler
At 20, Herro can already say his team made it to the Finals. He has already proven he can handle a playoff run, so it is all about consistency and continuing to build the roster in the coming years.
21. Kevin Knox, 21, New York Knicks.

Number: 20
Height: 6'7"
Nickname: None, but how about: "New York Knox"
Twitter: @kevknox
It's hard to win in New York, but Knox showed last season, with 15 points per game, that they need to land a big free agent or continue to draft well in order to string together wins for a playoff berth.
