In Honor Of Super Bowl LV, Here Are 55 Super Bowl Commercials We'll Never Forget

No bathroom breaks during the big game.

I guess the years just don't stop coming. Super Bowl LV is upon us, and in rewatching past commercials, one realizes how easy it is easy to forget a bunch of them. Here are 55 forgotten Super Bowl commercials:

1. The Force is strong with this one and his parents' new Volkswagen.

The little look to the camera at the end... Vader has never been so adorable. And no, Jake Lloyd as Anakin before he turns to the dark side does not count.

2. This young man is on top of the world after his graduation present.

I mean...it's a nice fridge at least, right?

3. Walmart's parking lot is filled with nostalgia.

This was last year, and I literally already forgot it was a Super Bowl commercial.

4. This 2012 party got weird fast thanks to the Red M&M.

I guess you need to imagine that he is stripping off his clothes; otherwise, he is literally tearing his skin off.

5. This man fell for the ol' time machine gag.

One of the best commercials in 2014. Doritos always banks on comedy, and this one paid off.

6. Coke tries to hit you in the feels with this brotherly love commercial.

I honestly have no memory of this one, but it was cute.

7. Celebrities fill in for Alexa, and it goes as expected.

From Cardi B to Anthony Hopkins, this Amazon commercial really stood out.

8. The NFL flexes its popularity within pop culture.

The dark horse of every Super Bowl is the NFL commercials. The league always come up with something creative, and the "NFL 100" commercial might be the best ever.

9. Bridgestone's 2011 commercial explains why I am always terrified to hit the "reply all" button in an email.

This might have been a slight overreaction, though. I would've played it off as a joke: "I meant to send it."

10. Troy Polamalu sees his shadow in one of the weirder commercials in Super Bowl history.

It might be for the best that this video is of mediocre quality, because I don't want to see this abomination in 4K.

11. Betty White becomes a legend...again...in this Snickers ad.

One of the more classic ones on here, but I seriously forgot that it was a Super Bowl commercial.

I think Betty, as a receiver, would be better out in the flat. Sending her into the middle of the field was a bad call, and the quarterback set her up for failure. I'd still draft the Golden Girl for my fantasy team.

12. This 2008 Doritos ad really sets the tone for the weirdness of Doritos Super Bowl commercials.

13. Stewie Griffin and Underdog face off in a hilarious Thanksgiving parade battle. This Coca-Cola ad has one of my favorite endings ever.

As a guy who hates Thanksgiving, I always did like the parade, so this is quite the nostalgia trip.

Plus, Chuck finally wins in the end!

14. Don't trust hitchhikers, even if they have a pack of Bud Light.

One of my favorites. The epilogue makes it for me, and the terror in the voice of the ax-wielding hitchhiker.

15. That time in 2007 when Bud Light wanted people to replace the fist bump with a slap across the face.

Sometimes you just gotta try stuff...and pay millions of dollars for a TV spot.

16. Doritos tried to give us the GOAT of Super Bowl commercials, bahhh-ut at what cost?

Anything comedically surreal gets me, and this cutie is no different. Also, the goat is nice.

17. This Hyundai kid assembles the "Dream Team" of kids football.

The tone of this is hilarious. When I saw it again for the first time in years, I would not have remembered it was a Hyundai commercial.

18. Budweiser crabs worship their new god.

I would make a joke here, but it would be a crabby thing to do.

19. Bud Light got creative in 2007 by having the perfect man on the job for this wedding.

20. What's better than this? Lions being dudes...as they discuss the new Steak Grilled Taquitos at Taco Bell.

21. I would 100% jump out of this plane — not for the Bud Light, but for who dived after it.

26. Danny McBride and Australia Tourism tricked people for a few weeks into believing that they were remaking Crocodile Dundee.

I fell for this one pretty hard and never got the original movies, so I thought it would be a hilarious parody.

27. Skittles makes things weird and romances the rainbow.

My mom discovered Skittles in recent years, and apparently, it surprises people that they are so good.

28. Gronk's Cleaners looks like a bizarre primetime show on CBS.

29. Dirty dancing between two Giants.

I have no memory of this commercial. Never been a big "Oh look, celebrities!" kind of guy, but they can still be funny.

34. Dads just have that weird sixth sense. Oh, by the way, this is a car commercial.

35. Taco Bell has these older individuals living life to the fullest.

No memory of this one, but a cute concept. No offense to the Bell, but I don't know if that is my go-to for a night on the town.

36. Well...this escalated quickly.

How to eat an Oreo? Ketchup on a hotdog? Pineapple on pizza?

All those questions show how dysfunctional we are as a society. Just "do you," people. Put ketchup on an Oreo. I don't care.

37. This Volkswagen commercial has a lot of twists and the death sentence on 12 systems.

I love Star Wars, but this was really out of left field.

38. Little dog...little shoes. Little dog...little shoes.

Pets are always the safe bet for a Super Bowl commercial; because even if it sucks, who can hate that face?

42. The punchline for this 2006 Bud Light commercial got me, and I feel bad about it because it is so silly.

45. There are so many Budweiser Clydesdale commercials, I forgot about the zebra one. My kind of comedy.

46. Hey, kids, remember those VHS players called the "VCRs"? No? Well, this Levi's flyweight jeans commercial is quite the time stamp.

47. In honor of the late, great Hank Aaron, this commercial is a forgotten gem. For non-baseball fans, Barry Bonds was on his way to breaking Hank's home run record.

48. I loved Battlebots growing up, so this commercial got a big laugh from little Jeremy. Now it has that lovely early-2000s CGI.

Toro was my favorite growing up, and the reboot on Discovery has only improved the show.

49. I feel like the farther back in time I go, the more I am slipping into a state of confusion I cannot describe. Anyway, here is a singing-dog sock puppet.

50. A classic I totally forgot about: the beautiful art of cat herding.

51. Rediscovering this commercial, I realize it may be my favorite of all time. If you want a break from comedic, here is the one you should watch. Truly well done.

52. A wife fantasizing about a sexy Mr. Clean, like everyone does. Right?

As with most of these commercials, I simply forgot that this was a Super Bowl ad because they played it so often for months.
