No, The Jingle Jangle At Trader Joe's Isn't The Drug From "Riverdale"

"The seasonal treat will sweep you off your feet!"

I'm grateful for many things this year, but one of them is the fact that on Season 2 of Riverdale there's a crazy drug called Jingle Jangle and the cast has to say Jingle Jangle like an average of 15x per episode:

Major props to Riverdale writers for making this cast say Jingle Jangle all season with a straight face.

Jingle Jangle comes in a pixie stick, lasts for three days, and makes people act like this:

Fast forward to the holiday season, where Trader Joe's has been selling a fun product called — whaddaya know?! — Jingle Jangle!

I can’t believe they’re selling this right out in the open at Trader Joe’s

And people can't help but think of the Riverdale drug while they're just tryna do their grocery shopping:

I meannnnn, it even comes in ICE CREAM form! A ghoulie's dream!

Anyways, a reporter at Vulture honestly did GOD'S WORK and talked to someone at Trader Joe's to find out if there was any connection between this holiday sweet and the Sugar Man's (RIP) favorite treat. Here's what they had to say:

Trader Joe’s Jingle Jangle was introduced years ago. It’s just a fun name that plays off of sleigh bells referenced in Christmas carols, since it is a holiday item. It’s also a fun way to describe the sound customers might hear when they give the tin can a shake.

So, there you have it, you're safe to consume TJ's Jingle Jangle without having to worry about the wrath of Black Hood.
